Oliver Brown Cafe

The actual workplace was okay and I made some great friends working here but the management/head office operations are shocking. Almost every staff member is paid below their minimum award wage and are extremely overworked and put under far too much pressure. They do not care about their employees or their wellbeing at all and their morals and ethics are severely lacking.

The Oliver Browns I worked at was constantly busy so it created some sort of adrenaline. The workplace was friendly and multicultural. The hygiene standard weren't as great as I expected; I guess it depends on the person same with the customer service.

It was fun during the day making desserts for patrons but the management is unorganized with the restaurant for example on a busy day they would require one of the wait staff to buy the ingredients midday or during peak hour. The reason I left is due to management paying me late, more than one week and my last one was months late! No exaggeration!!!

Days can change from quiet to busy. Everyday is different. Learned some great customer service skills since starting work. Built on confidence and met some really lovely people. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the difficult customers which doesn't happen to often. The most enjoyable part is greeting every customer and making them happy.

Pay was the worst, management sucked, it was chill at times but horrible at peak especially because our branch would only have one waitstaff and one barista at a time per shift. Flexibility is good I guess but hours are not. My best memories from the job are just the people, everything else was bad. 

Very unorganized late for appointments and get blamed for everything. Kitchen is unsafe to work in (electrical faults and equipment tripping every 5 minutes). They taught me how NOT to run a business.
I'm still waiting to be paid for my hours and to be reimbursed for shopping they made me pay for with my own money.

I was paid minimum wage and worked 21 hours a week minimum. Managers were inconsiderate and rude. Was paid through half cash half card to avoid tax. Met people I am still friends with today. Dirty, small work environment. 

Customers that come into the store are great 
The employees are a great bunch of people to work for .
The environment in which I work is great and active with a lot of business that is being made 

Great company to work for all in all

Management was so  unresponsive to our needs so the turnover is high and the staff i was working with were incompetent as there was no proper training. 

I learnt to be a fast and efficient worker here as management was so poor we had to become adaptable. 

Oliver brown is a fun place to work at where all the team members got along and everyone worked together very well. I had a good work life balance and I enjoyed working their
