When working for this company working on average between 50-60 hours with short staff and no compensation for working massive overtime hours. Expected to work through nominated breaks and constantly called in on days off to work even when only getting paid and extra 7.6hrs whilst doing 12-13 hours on your day off. Management are always constantly harassing and treating what little staff they have with little to no respect and then wonder why they cant keep staff. Even after bringing up to HR problems that they need to adress no action was taken about these key factors. I may not know how to run a business or have a degree in it, but atleast i can run it better than they do.

After my 6 month employment appraisal, my employer and I discussed where my strengths and abilities are best performed. We both thoroughly agreed that my performance in customer service is naturally outstanding and would be best placed in both catering and operations.
I was offered full time employment and also took this opportunity. I understood how challenging each job role promotion were as for these opportunities were extremely rare for someone of my age at the time (16-18).

-A typical day,not enough staff on
-Horrible management
-Workplace culture depends on area
-Never going home at set times. I.e Being sent home really early from shift to having to stay back late at night.
-Some customers really made your day go great
-Pay was really good, the environment was toxic
- No job advancement. If you are  a fantastic worker don't expect anything from management besides broken promises of job advancement.
- Job would suit someone not in a relationship
-No work life balance. AT ALL.

Setting up of outlets, checking rostering, collecting tills and two way radios.
Allocating staff in sections and tasks for the day.
Checking all outlets are ready for service.
Look ahead at daily events.
Checking Supervisors have all communications for the day.

No job security, inflexible shift work, no opportunity to upskill, little to no opportunity to advance, no incentives. Feels like a social culture is actively discouraged with no staff events of any kind and no staff allowed to gather socially on the premises. High staff turnover, even for this industry.

Norths is a good place to work at. I have made myself comfortable there with the Cafe team as they treat you like family however, there are pros and cons to every workplace. 
Most of the leading staff should not work there as they are lazy and unproductive and management doesn't seem to see this.

- long hours can make it feel like your personal and work life feel blurred


Great workplace with great staff and friendly management. Learned all my hospitality skills from the company. The most enjoyable part of the job is rocking up to a long shift but having your great colleagues there with you.

I thoroughly enjoyed working at Norths. It had a great culture among staff and patrons. I worked in a small team consisting of 4 men who did the maintenance of the club inside and out.

Difficult to climb the ladder too many bosses never enough staff company only looked at making profits before customer service and staff needs.could be better
