What is the best part of working at the company?
In over 40 years in the workforce Neami is one of the most supportive environments I’ve worked in. Neami ‘s values not only extend to its consumers but also its staff.  They truly act in  accordance to their mission statement

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working in complex mental health has frequent challenges 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Brilliant. Team culture is supportive. As well as structured personal development sessions staff are genuinely caring of each other and impromptu organic debriefing opportunities  between staff are common place. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No 2 days are alike. If you require rigid structure you may find it challenging as situations can rapidly change requiring flexibility and adaptability

First time working for a NGO and last time working for a NGO.
Management and leadership stick together and support work place bullying. There is no accountability , management allow other leaders to  get away with it .Not trauma informed despite priding themselves of being trauma informed . 

My day began with a cup of coffee and checking emails followed by monitoring system health and reporting/resolving any immediate issues.
As a Systems Administrator, my time was divided between resolving issues that was escalated to me and working on projects.
The most enjoyable part of the job was helping people that made a difference in the community.
The most challenging part of the job was knowing who is responsible for what task. Due to numerous restructuring of the IT department, responsibilities were not clearly defined.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I was employed with neami for about 1 yr and 7 months before I left, because I was giving all my best work and the companies wasn't giving me anything back

The management and how they treat there staff

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very poor and people would undermine you 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Completing most tasks with in the time frame bit nothing for peer workers to do

When the org restructured they put some dangerously unqualified upper management in place. I was pulled into a performance investigation for refusing to use unauthorised restrictive practice on a service user - and when I explained service user's rights under the Mental Health Act around restrictive practice I had a target on my back as a trouble maker for the business.

I strongly don't recommend anyone use or work for this service - their lack of knowledge around safety is extremely alarming.

Time management is key to the role and working with the team is rewarding. 
Believing in yourself and your team to sustain a positive work environment.
Management are unqualified in their position and do not collaborate with other services and do not attend community engagement or community events.
Workplace culture is toxic due to management not taking accountability. Gaslighting and bullying are ingrained within the culture of management. 

A bit clicky and preference given to those with already established relationships whether the best fit or not ( nepotism). My management was good. I enjoyed the emphasis placed on reflective practices. Very consumer focused. Enjoyed working with their Collaborative recovery model. I left for career advancement.

A typical day was varied with lots of driving and client contact.  I learned to be patient, compassionate and understanding of people with mental health challenges.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with people what had experienced trauma.  The most enjoyable part of the job was making a real difference to people and their experience of life.

My Review, will be short and straight to the point.ive always worked hard and enjoyed working with the department of child protection therapeuticly and with empathy towards others. I’ve worked with different cultures and learnt a lot from their experiences. The hardest part of the job is the first day i think as you have to get to now the routine from others.

No two days are the same, our consumers dictate the way our days are going to run.  We strive to work with our consumers to reach their identified personal goals.

Management are uber supportive, the workplace culture dedicated and focused while the hardest part of the job is leaving to go home ion the afternoon.  Most enjoyable part the commraderie.
