What is the best part of working at the company?
Micromanagement and micro-aggressions from team leaders. At least a few times per month you are told what you have done wrong and the repercussions, including termination. I would not recommend anyone apply. The company still uses the old call centre model to run things. You are expected to be a robot on every call with their ridiculous Q&A requirements. Laziness from upper middle management to change anything from the old model of micromanagement will continue to see a constant revolving door of staff. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with unqualified team leaders that have nothing but their own self interests at heart and the constant micromanagement and politics of playing favorites 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company is inclusive for all including indigenous recognition,   and wears these facts like a badge of honor, even though all that is a legal requirement in this country anyway. Again, the culture is very political and bias towards favorites in any given team. Micromanagement in the call centre is for the most part-  simply part the culture  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Dreading logging on, wondering if a member or a team leader will be the first one to be rude or aggressive that day. Repetition fatigue from the QA requirements.

We have a agile work force environment so getting in to work we can choose to seat where we want. Once  settled in an half an hour is taken into planning and strategy, prioritising work that needs urgent attention to least urgent, than working away through my activity based work on the system, calling up claimants solicitors liaising and negotiating settlement claims based on evidence,requesting for all medical information from treating practitioners and doctors. Calling injured claimants to discuss rehabilitation, treatment and back to work discussions, no one day is the same, learning every day management is very open and transparent very supportive strong on reward and recognition we have a very family oriented culture speaking out is encouraged and to feel safe to be brave. Hardest part of the job is dealing with claimants with serious injuries risen from the car accident but it has taught me to be patient listener and communicator most enjoyable part of the day is when I get feedback from rehabilitation providers that claimants are well under way to recovery and will be able to get back to work soon as injuries are stabilised.

The manager I had for a majority of the time was a bully. The managers I had after were much nicer, but did not know how to manage well. I enjoyed the work, which mainly included photocopying, data entry, booking medicolegal appointments, speaking with doctors, and claimants, taking notifications for claimants, written communication with claimants and investigators, typing file notes from dictation, booking catering, ordering stationary, sorting and distributing mail, helping with procedures for the team.
There were many unhappy workers in this job, and it showed in their attitude towards the work and their attitude towards their co-workers. There were some lovely people that worked there too however the culture was not an encouraging and open culture. 
The hardest part of the job was dealing with the unhappy people working there. The most enjoyable part of the job was the data entry and processing of claims.

Taking calls from our members, arranging benefits eg car hire, vehicle, trailer and caravan recoveries/repatriations, accommodation, flights and passenger transport. Liasing/brainstorming with other colleagues regarding a member broken down in an area you haven't come across before - they may have some ideas I hadn't thought about - this job is all about teamwork and customer service. The hardest part of the job is being expected to work on a few cases at a time and watch the call queues - this could prove a real challenge during peak times. I enjoy helping people and working as part of a team to achieve a successful outcome for both our members and NRMA. I love the job however would love a face to face contact job speaking to people. I no longer have the desire to sit in front of a computer screen during my working hours.

The people and the culture. There’s a strong sense of teamwork, and everyone is willing to help each other succeed. It makes coming to work feel positive and motivating.

The pace can be stressful during busy periods, but it’s also what keeps the work engaging and helps everyone grow.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No two days are exactly the same. I usually balance routine responsibilities with problem-solving and responding to new priorities as they come up

A typical day at work would be a call out to a car which wont start, i would check all electrical, check the battery life and replace the battery if need be leaving the customer satisfied and mobile again.

I learnt how to talk to customer in a polite and responsible manner

The management was poor at times due to lack of shifts.

The co workers were friendly and easy too get along with.

The hardest part of the job was at times i would come across different make of car batteries which i had to stop and think and sometimes needed assistance to remove.

The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the customer and getting appreciated for your help and good working skills .

I returned to work part time (school hours) after having children to the insurance at NRMA claims department.
I found it a very interesting job. Its definitely an eye opener working for insurance.
I did many and varied roles while working there. I enjoyed them all but the time came to move on to get hours that suited my family needs more so I transferred to NRMA roadservice doing shiftwork.
I made many friends while working there and still seem them today.
There were many management changes who all had different views on how to manage the department and often found it difficult to adapt to their way of managing the department. Managers never stayed long in the positions.

I transferred to Roadservice after many years with the Insurance side of the business. I was looking for a new challenge and hours that would better suit my family needs and shift work offered that.
The job was very demanding and exciting at times. 
I gained a lot of experience while working in Roadservice but there weren't many opportunities for advancement and couldn't use that Roadservice experience outside of the NRMA culture.
The business unit offered redundancies so I felt after nearly 10yrs in Roadservice I needed a change so took the redundancy offer.
I found staff and management always very friendly and helpful. It was sad to leave but felt I had to move on.

Don't bother going above and beyond in this work place, you are never rewarded for it. Make suggestions for improvements and you get treated like garbage. Management feel threatened by anyone challenging their comfort levels. They all say they want change and growth, however their actions say the opposite. 

There are great benefits like 50% off insurance and free roadside, however management make it hard and make your work not enjoyable. 

If you are work here you are best off to stick to your lane, work hard, meet your targets and stay quiet. 

Oh, you need to go to the toilet during your shift? make sure your phone is in AUX 1 so you can take it off your break time. 
This company is a joke. Expected to have 100% perfect KPI’s, want you to sign people up for memberships despite there being a membership team. You bust your butt the same as everyone else but because your on probation you don’t receive the quarterly bonus (which is a joke). below average pay, you miss out on everything - weekends, public holidays- and good luck trying to take annual leave or use a day in leiu. only 2 people are allowed to take AL per day. I cant wait to leave…
