My Home Living Care

A newly formed business established to provide Carers for the older and fragile members of the community.  I acted as the Office Manager/Receptionist and assisted mostly in enlisting such Carers - ensuring they are properly licensed, have gone through Police checks and more importantly, are properly 'matched' with their particular patient for a more efficient service.  "Empathy" is the big word in this business - and what Carers are supposed to have plenty of.   The most enjoyable part of the job, however, is to see how the old people's faces light up as soon as their Carer arrives with the thought that someone will be there to 'hold their hand' and exchange a laugh or two even for a short moment!  Not easy to age - especially when you do not have anyone to look after you!!!

This company is driven but needs the push, resources, and expertise of a larger organisation to be successful.

A typical day at work for administrative staff starts at 9am and end at 5pm with an After Hours team to take emergency call at nightime, on weekend, public holidays, and early mornings before business hours. Team leaders correspond with stakeholders via phone and email, conducting market research, and participating in team meetings, and collaboration.

Support staff attend service according to their roster and care plans on the mobile application on their smart devices.Service range from one hour to longer hours across Sydney metropolitan.

The company has many strengths and core values for organisations its size but needs enhanced leadership, direction, and management.

I have learned a lot from this service provider despite the fact that it was just a cover period for somebody who overseas for the much needed holiday break. NDIS program was one which further enhanced my knowledge and skills in processing claims payment.

my home living care is a very nice place to work. working with there gives me opportunity to relate with people of different cultural background. the management have been so nice that responsibilities are prioitized and each team member is always there to help.

Its a multicultural and diverse environment to work. Office staffs are helpful and very cooperative. Stressful sometimes but a easy place to work. I learned many things especially how to handle a situation independently and work autonomously.

Good friendly people to work for. Never feel pushed into doing jobs that don’t fit around my life. Sometimes a bit slow to fill all your availability, so don’t always work as much as I would like. 

Everyday experience is never the same. Flexible hours provided, approachable staffing. The hard part is the travelling from house to house and some can be in a longer distance than the other.

Management n roster team are so polite. They are young and very well mannered. 
One time one of the roster officer called me and my client in the car heard the conversation n she wants to switch provider straight away

My home living care is a good company, staff is very friendly and kind. while I worked with my client they’re all most happy, the most my service is ongoing for 4 years. I’m very happy with my company.
