I often tell people that the management at MindChamps Albion Park are the best people I’ve ever worked for. 
- They listen. Managing such a large amount of staff couldn’t be easy, but they make time in their day to listen to any work concerns and take action to this information. 
- They offer the flexibility that they can, personal leave/ sick leave is fair (this has been a common issue I’ve noticed at other centres). 
At MindChamps there seems to be endless opportunity to expand your knowledge as an Educator, with new and exciting professional development offered. 
- The Educators are mostly knowledgeable, creating a good team dynamic. 
- It can take a while to settle into the team/ room as it’s such a large centre with many employees.
- Child-led learning is a large focus. The curriculum is based off this, specifically what the children say throughout planner activities. The curriculum planning can take a little for you to wrap your head around, but it makes the most out of the children’s interests and learning. 

Awful communication from management with a lot of secrecy around decisions made within the centre. Educators and families weren’t notified about major things, such as staff leaving, until the last minute. Management would buy resources for the centre without any input from the educators, which left us with things we didn’t need and without things we did.
The ‘training’ provided is absolutely ridiculous, getting sent to an acting theatre to learn from trained actors instead of actual educators. I learned nothing new from these sessions, and ended up bored and frustrated. 
There was a big emphasis on maximising profits, which meant cutting costs on food, resources and staff. 
The educational program is ridiculously complicated and unnecessary, and incredibly time consuming to complete (which we weren’t given enough time to do).
Would not recommend working there.

Omg!!!! Please never ever recommend this company to anyone!! All the staff struggle a lot and never get an appreciation for their hard work. They just cared about money and nothing else. Hungry people for money. No one stayed in the head office for long, people just changing. They fired the old staff and always getting new people who are very rude and bullying the staff. This company has a toxic environment so my advice is better to find and look for another centre rather than just stay with Mind champs. So many people resigned and management or HR doesn't even bother to ask the reason for leaving. Honestly, Worst company ever!!!

Join the family! MindChamps is a great company to work for. They enjoy putting in the time and effort in allowing staff to learn new skills and further enhance their professional development. The new HQ is great and provide support to all centre managers and staff.
A New Nutrition program has been bought out, is great and parents are really getting their moneys worth. Our team is like a little family and thoroughly enjoy coming to work everyday to shape little minds in to doing what interests them.


Lack of staff, stressful work situations, limited programming time with lots of interruptions, unethical work environment. You are treated as cleaners/ nanny’s rather than an educator.

The centre director behaves as a dominant authority overseeing a group of subordinates within the centre and tries to micromanage them. 

Managers have the flexibility to take leave at their discretion, yet they may not approve your leave, reflecting a lack of sound work ethics.

Terrible centre, it seems lovely when you interview and first start but after a while you see what it's really like. Low staff and over ratio constantly, pushed to go on breaks as early as possible even sometimes when you've only been there for an hour, little to no programming time, expecting to get insane amounts of paperwork done during rest time even when you have a lot of kids who don't sleep and then you get in trouble for not getting the work completed. 50% of your time is spent cleaning.

After working here for years and years i got NO recognition and just more work piled with no time to complete it. Management is dreadful and no one communicated with one another leaving announcements/changes VERY last minute! I have never felt so unsupported and unappreciated in a work place. I was taken advantage of and brainwashed by this cult like workplace. I suggest you look elsewhere before joining MindChamps! 

Way too many expectations. Unfair staff treatment. No authority to managers to run the centre. Would not pay for extra hours worked. Most stingy people and no proper process in place for centre expenses. Too many people who are sitting in the office dont know what their role is. Rudest people treating you like nothing. Disappointed to have ever been a part of this money hungry company

After being a loyal employee for many years, I felt I was left with no choice but to step down from my part time position. I have stayed on a a casual for families but feel as though there is little to no respect for experienced educators. Many colleagues have been forced out due to opposed opinions on how best to educate the next generation (play based approach vs academics).

MindChamps really care about their staff. As Educators we are offered 200 hours of training which is interactive and engaging and really makes a difference to the bonds that we have with our peers and the children. There is a lot of investment in the curriculum and the learning and development of children. MindChamps are great at consistency and raising the bar to golden standards!
