My immediate leader really did not know what he was doing and that made my job very difficult and challenging. Expectations of me changed 4 times in one year and none of this was written down. 

He has since moved on, so unlikely to be a problem again - however there were policies in place that weren't followed or enforced which allowed this to happen, so unless this practice has change it's possible to continue.

15/13 roster was good for downtime, a bit hard around day 10 onwards. Pay low but that was down to my negotiations. Camp food was excellent, and mateship with the crew was very good. Made some long lasting friends there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good blokes , 2 weeks on/off. Sporting facilities good. Good food

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working in 40 degrees plus heat. Working with some micro managers. To much paperwork 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Lacks respect for upper management, self inflicted I might add. High turnover rate

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Expect the unexpected . No 2days are the same unless you’re and operator

Paid hourly as contractor and was put in the deep end midway through the project. I was able to learn quickly and build a good relationship with contractors on site and the electrical site superintendent as well as office staff. There was lots of work and I was required to work most weekends. I really enjoyed building relationships with the people both on site and in the office.

What is the best part of working at the company?

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Doing 3x your normal workload because people keep quitting due to working conditions. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is an underlying toxic environment that takes a few months to pick up on.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Peaceful now that I don't work there anymore.

I started ad  leadbagger would come back for another swing if allowed but I was told.i.had high leads. I had family situation mum was sick I would like a go in mining and if they could finally charter a plane from Queensland would help.greatlly or subsidise flights.

MRM is a very professional workplace, it provides all the opportunities for the development of employees. It has a very good camp with excellent accommodations and other facilities such as Gym, Swimming pool, tennis and cricket courts as well as good foods.

Was able to add to my skill base. I was keen to learn and people would teach me about the mine.  The food and accomodation is great management is supportive and saftey is paramount.

Hours were long and it consisted of repeat jobs daily. Sampling ore repeatedly I found to be straining and did not enjoy this type of work after only 6 months.

great people, good food, comfy accommodation, bar is a plus, swimming pool is great, work life balance is excellent, money is great, fifo lifestyle can be challenging but overall its good

A very different project to what I was doing I got  a lot of other trades
knowledge in the process it was good to learn other aspects of construction.
