As I manage my own portfolio at Marsh I am respobnsible for my own time management to ensure that everything required is completed.
I have day to day service enquiries that I receive from my clients which I need to action in a timely manner.
Every client has a range of insurance policies which usually renew on the same date and leading up to this I need to perform a marketing excercise to ensure that I am providing the best product to my clients at the best price.
This involved building relationships with Insurance Underwriters which the policies are placed with and being able to negotiate the best terms possible.
I then have to deliver these terms back to the client and ensure that they receive the broadest coverage at the most competitive price and that in the event that they require to lodge a claim, they receive the best service possible.

On a day to day basis I need to provide a top level of customer service to each of my clients and ensure they feel like they are my only one.

Marsh provided access to specific expertise within the group to draw upon with regard to my unique role.  There was a high degree of professionalism and access to many various division to assist to assist with role,which was a 4 month contract.  These divisions included Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Lines, Political Risk, Construction, Business Development t and others. Cross Marketing both internally in australis and international was also very much encouraged. There was a great sprit and unity within the group and drive to prove to prove the best customer service tone and all.  I very much enjoyed my time at Marsh and was sad to leave when my contract ended howeve, but due employment contracts it could not bye renewed.

Screening all calls to the Managing Director (my immediate supervisor), typing up general correspondence including reports and responding to emails on his behalf, arranging appointments both within and outside the office.

I have co-workers who were very friendly and co-operative and fun to work with.

The hardest part of my job was attempting to confirm meetings and appointments with certain Business Executives in Companies that we were proposed to sell our Services to.

The most enjoyable part of my job was always getting my tasks done on time and before deadlines.

Nice culture,  good staffs , supportive and and good management

Some areas are very high demanding, however it is achievable

Very nice and inclusive and diverse  culture
Full of respect for staffs from management 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very enjoyable, full of energy to work and willing to contribute to the goal, and success of the company

Full of lazy individuals who far prefer to do jigsaws, online games  or loudly chat all day.

No leadership or professionalism with a mismanagement of workflow or lack of care re struggling staff.

No progressive ideas, with a terrible attitude to working from home.  In fact no real interest in making anything better.

You can also forget having a professional call due to general rowdy behaviour or shouting across pods whilst staff on calls. 

Horrible place to work that’s haemorrhaging staff at rapid rate, for good reason 





I am working in the IT sector. There are a lot of software/applications used by the company. To support these software/applications is a challenge. Although there are documented procedures to support these products, the procedure sometimes can be a little dated. Another little surprise is that there are several hundreds of emails everyday, most of these can be safely ignored, but managing email is a task every employee should spend some time on.

This business is about following processes, the business prizes itself to be able to manage big accounts this is achieved through the following of these processes. Individual thought and expression is not rewarded however there is a strong collegiate and friendly environment among staff. Providing you have a supportive immediate manager this is a great company.

have become much better at delivering information efficiently.

My time at Marsh Ltd was very enjoyable. As I am a hard worker and enjoy a variety of tasks, this job was very ideal for me. My job entailed being the Personal Assistant to the Finance and Administration Manager, administration tasks including procurement, report writing, accounts assistance, and IT support. My co-workers were very co-operative and a joy to work with.

Culture of working long hours in an environment that is not very collaborative. There is not a great team spirit, or focus on learning and development. Not much opportunity to grow within the team. Individual people are nice but everyone is too busy to help each other out.
