At this time I am the Room leader of the pre school room in a long day care centre. Over the past seven years I have worked with all age groups under five years, and have a particularly passion for the pre toddler/toddler age groups.  I am passionate about education and strongly believe that an interest based program delivers results in how much information children retain. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with the child as an individual as well as part of the family unit. 
One of the struggles of this job is balancing my responsibilities of a teacher with that of second in charge at the service. This being said, I love the growth that the second in charge position has given me as I have learnt how to manage staff, pays, leave and implement new systems.
Throughout my time at this service, I have learnt that I would like to work closely with individual family groups to improve their quality of life. I am in the process of developing a new small business which will give me the opportunity to offer my skills on a more private level and am now looking for families who are interested in feedback about their routines, behaviour management ext to begin the process.

TYPICAL DAY 
- A lot of different client walking in for different events
- I direct clients as they come to reception to their allocated Seminar Rooms
- I head into all the Seminar rooms being used and talk to facilitator about break times such as ( Morning Tea, Lunch etc.) 
- Talk them thru house rules and emergency exits 
- I help presenter set his laptop connect him to projector, AV, mic'd up and any other quires 
- Once clients all sorted from all different events I set up all events Morning Tea and dietary requirements

LEARNT
- how to prioritize clients when extremely busy
- Staying calm when under pressure and dealing with difficult clients

MANAGEMENT
- Co-Leader: Ill manage how the day will go such as what team member should do for the day and allocate them with task and how things should be done. 

HARDEST PART
- When their are staff meetings and I'm left on the floor alone. There is a lot of events on and I have to deal with clients and students who come to reception, answer phone calls and also set up and clean up for the next break.

ENJOYABLE PART
-Talking, helping clients with quires and interacting and socializing with clients

•	Performing system monitoring / performance tuning; troubleshooting system software, 
•	Administers Active directory manage user access to computing resources 
•	Perform system administration, application support, troubleshooting, integration 
•	Manage/ monitor  Citrix xen virtual Desktop / servers to ensure maximum uptime 
•	Maintain Citrix xen virtual Desktop image / policy to ensure citrix xen is up-to-date 
•	Monitor virtual lab utilization and user access 
•	Virtual Infrastructure understanding for the delivery of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure 
•	Management/ Administration of Windows Active Directory Group Policy Management 
•	working with Helpdesk applications/ change management 
•	IIS  and SSL management / Administration 
•	Management / Administration of core university application (student management system (amis,) , Research  management system (IRIS), Human resources system (HRIS)

Overall, Macquarie provides a well-rounded experience that balances study, professional growth, and student life.

A typical day at work would be in a one to one session with the students to practice the language and help them assess in their academic literacy in skills such as understanding unit requirements, exam preparation, revision, oral presentation kills and writing skills among others.  
I learned much more of the system of education in Australia. The management of this program is very organized and effective to see positive results in the students' academic progress. The working environment was vey calm and nice. 
The hardest part of the job was that the hours assigned depended on the availability of the students and sometimes they had other activities that did not allow them to have sessions. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was the great attitude and respect that I received and gave to my boss and my students and the way classes were so enjoyable.

There is no such thing as a typical day at work. 
I learnt to be independent, flexible and someone who can fit in to any team  environment. I communicate with my managers via email and phone.
The hardest part is being an effective prac advisor within the limited time. I meet different types of management and people from a diverse background and also diverse learning abilities. I also learnt to be thorough and investigate issues arising from different view points.
I analyse written work based on tasks and provide a structured feedback to students, that is appropriate to the field. 
I enjoy  supporting the young educators and seeing that most of the time they could see the theory and knowledge in practice.

Management is not supportive and doesn’t listen to staff. Rosters and opportunities are not fair, and there’s little help for career growth. It can be a frustrating place to work
Poor workplace culture and unsupportive management make it a difficult place to work. The hardest part of the job is constantly having to deal with management just to get basic fairness in things like rostering and opportunities. There’s little recognition, and staff concerns are often ignored
The only real satisfaction comes from caring for patients. Despite the challenges, looking after them is the most meaningful part of the job and the one thing that makes the experience worthwhile

Without clear direction from management, the staff were in a state of confusion and anxiety about their work.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture ignored students and focused on hitting goals. Employees were treated like objects without value

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day involved deciphering what management wanted. Lunch was enjoyable, as it is a beautiful campus. The work was boring and the day dragged on.

Most of the University work I did was sessional - so when they had a large influx of foreign students who hoped to do a degree at University they put them through an academic preparation course, and  they enlisted casuals to fill the need for extra teachers for a period of 3 months. By completing the 3 month course with a pass the students would be eligible to enrol in the course of their choice. That work was  high pressure, but well paid,. The positives are that they pay really well, and the negatives are that there will be no work available for most of the year. So you need to have a back up plan.

A typical day at work is simple as serving customer with the foods and a smile, clean up the place and utensile when work done and get in touch with the team. What I have learned in this environment was the working culture of Australia is different from my country, they are more likely to have work-life balance and relax phenomena while working. The most enjoyable part of this job is the time of working is only from 10am until 5pm and the rest of the time, I can do anything I like or some of them will choose to take another job for more income, but for me I would like to enjoy the time with some friends and family.
