A typical day at work consists of signing in, finding a work station and getting started. Throughout the day you'd walk back and forth across the room picking up items and individually scanning and wrapping them and ensuring that all items are present. After scanning, you'd receive a number of stickers from a machine that you had to place on a number of forms. Once all the items were packed in bubble wrap or tissue paper, they had to be placed in the correct sized box and placed on the transport trolleys. 

I learnt how to use the different machinery and electronics to fulfil the job I was given. I also learnt how to adapt to new situations where I'd be placed with people I didn't know, at first I was uncomfortable with this but I quickly learnt to adapt and I eventually enjoyed it.

Management was pretty good at Myers. I didn't see my manager too often during my time there, but when I did they were very helpful.

My co-workers at Myers were all very nice and patient with me as they understood that I was young and new. 

The hardest part of the job was learning to use all the new machinery and equipment, as well making sure that all products, as well as the receipt and thank you letters, were placed in the correct locations so that nothing was left out.

The more enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people and experiencing a real working environment.

I enjoyed  working for Myer very much and wouy love to come back to the company to work. I enjoyed meeting and helping people.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It is the busiest time of the year at Xmas but it makes the day go quickly.

Excellent customer service with all walks of life

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is helping people to find what there looking for also applying add on sales. When it's not busy you have time to do housekeeping and restocking.

I personally had no problems however it did start to become quite clicky really quickly just before I left, I'm people person so I didn't have any problems making my place working within a team made some friends but always professional NO MATTER WHAT, as the customer will pay more in a store they can get cheaper if the customer service is better, I know this because as a consumer there are certain take out places or clothes shops that are the same but I'll travel further an spend more if I'm treated with a positive yet genuine and respectful. Every customer deserves that quality of customer service Wether it's a diamond ring or onion rings. Positivity and confidence show. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Customer comes first always . Working together to achieve goals as one team. Friendly, managers supportive, staff discount   fabulous and personal achievements rewarded. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Day before major store events, preparations and set up to ensure everything is perfect. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Like a second family. Enjoyable. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Customer focused and ensuring you give each and every customer a great shopping experience.

Depending what area you're working in, for example if I'm on sorter than a typical day is always busy as it consists of continuous lifting, some days are heavy but most days are fine, also you're constantly on the move so it feels like a full day workout but I find it enjoyable as I prefer to be moving.

A day in pick packing and online customer orders is slow paced as they prefer us to pick the correct items and make sure we're packing the correct items for the correct customers.

I enjoyed working for Myers on many levels.  
... The culture was one of maintaining a positive culture within the workplace.
..   I enjoyed working with all colleagues, as there was also a culture of working together, regardless of what department I was in at the time.
...  The only reason I left Myer was that my husband was ill and I needed to take care of him.

...  I hope to be able to re=engage with Myer on a part-time basis in the future.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Customer Service,  selling , talking about the product. I have a bubbly personality  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being on my feet all day. I need to sit down for at least 1/2 hour

Good, and very friendly.  We are a good team

Pro- active.  We are all helping each other

I am glad I don’t work here full time. It’s nasty. No training provided. Management are beyond rude no support. You ask a question and get a nasty reply. Hired for a Christmas casual what a waste of time told to check the app for shifts never get any. Always promised shifts will come. Whatever. Don’t hire casuals if you don’t intend giving them work. 

MYERs has recently been losing money as a whole thus understaffing many stores putting stress on staff still exisiting in their stores. Their view is to cut stuff in order to remain tight on their financial budget which contradicts itself as the less staff there are, the less sales they will have. Nonetheless great working experience with team members who made the most out of time there.
