MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND

It is a great place and a great way to pick up extra shifts as a side job with plenty of opportunity to try and learn new things with friendly coworkers and staff. 
The interview process was smooth and seamless, it focused on your individual strrngths anf they tried to put you somewherr where you could play to strengths and still be challenged and learn something new. Thay being said you didnt have to have expirience to work there, although experience is great so you can know what part  of the MCG you want to work.

Shifst usually start an hour before the game and are 3 hours long. Each shift you could be in a different location but usually you stay in the same venue a few times before you change sites. 
Rosters are sent out for availability and you text of you at available or not if you are rostered on there will be a time and place and you text to confirm you can still make the shift this is vital for the staff so they understand numbers. 

The first text that has availibility will usually say the day, the date and either day or night and you confirm, deny or quiery the shift and you can figure out the usual start time if you look at the game start time and your shift will start an hour before that . 
The second text if  you got the shift is confirm or deny and it has the venue and start time. This means you have the shift and should show up around half an hour early if you can to get your shirt and apron and find the venue.

Worked in catering and fine dining. Supervisors was straight up mean. never felt safe. always felt like i was doing thing wrong but never got instructions on how to actually do things. The management asked me if i could come in and work fine dining when i called in sick.

They complained about our looks and outfits at all times, without providing us with information on how to do it better. They did not provide full uniforms but still complained and told us we wore the worng thing. 

One time, in the kitchen in front of everyone, i had to show my supervisor what color my bra was because she said she could see it underneath my shirt. 

WOULD NOT RECCOMEND to my worst enemy. Heard that the suites and bars/fast foods are a bit better.

Found the job very interesting as it involved customer interactions
it included duties like 
	Maintaining a friendly environment for the clients.
	Interacting with clients face to face.
	Resolving all the concerns and queries of clients present for the event.
	Maintaining client data base and responding to online inquires.
	Cash handling and till operating

My typical day at work would be, get to MCG get changed to working uniform and start my job. I usually worked at the register, where I was trained for the first time by an awesome bunch of team members. I usually worked 4-5 hours a shift and I had no breaks. Most enjoyable part was getting along with the team and making customers happy.

best place to work, get paid to watch the footy or cricket. pay is great for casual work, environment and people are so nice. Also the uniform is actually really good. Fleece, scarf, beanie, puffer, gloves etc. But it is really cold in the winter.

The MCG is a great place to work in terms of the atmosphere and pay. Its casual work so you can decline any shifts at any time. However there are not many shifts available so this may just be a weekend job.

Its like working for with a big family organisation the staff are outgoing full of advice and Experience to help anyone staff to Customer Information.

I enjoyed my time working as a food attendant at the MCG. It required communicating with the kitchen and serving customers over 3-4 hour shifts. Would recommend as unskilled work for students.

Melbourne Cricket Ground is a good place to work the supervisor is very kind. It is a fun place to work. It is a very busy place to work but i have gain a lot of experience there.

The MCG record selling job is a great area for young adults who love football to work in. I learnt a lot about money management and how to engage with customers in busy rush hour.
