Wonderful, collaborative multidisciplinary team.  Supportive managers and colleagues that genuinely care about your wellbeing, and place quality patient care above arbitrary KPI's. As with all health organisations, resources are never quite enough for demand, however you are supported to provide quality care over quantity of OOS, prioritise resources and care for those who need it most, and create innovative solutions to improve outcomes for all patients/vonsumers.


It really depends on the department and the individuals you work with. My experience was very negative, as the environment was centred on certain team members needing to be right rather than working collaboratively. Junior staff were often spoken down to and treated poorly, which made the workplace feel unsafe and unsupportive. I know others who had positive experiences in different departments, so it seems to come down to the culture of the specific ward or team.

Good management with well trained and understanding staffs . Good staffs to help to achieve the goal.
They have patience to correct and understand our faults .
They will provide id and uniform. Also salary package and union facility.
Staff parking is lil bit complicated. So we have to reach there as soon as possible.
Security and IT department are weary well.
The floors are always neat and clean.

I thoroughly enjoyed working at Logan Hospital. It was a fun place to work. It was also very busy and productive. I felt a sense of achievement after every work day. I enjoyed the type of work I did and learnt along the way. The technology was second to none. The superiors were professional and helpful. Thanks to Logan Hospital for the work experience and great memories. 

I enjoyed the shift work and the people I worked with. It could be quite hectic at times but you just needed to be calm. There were times some of the things you would see would be quite graphic and you had to handle distressed family members. Empathy and understanding wad very important in this job. I learnt a lot in this job to understand how to handle stressful situations

People get placed in jobs they don’t have the qualifications for just because they know someone especially in non trade areas such as admin, cleaners, assistants etc

I would highly recommend working at Logan Hospital especially with all the new upgrades to and extensions with the building going on now and In the near future.

My employment here was temporary on a three month basis as people were on holiday. Unfortunately this could not be extended. I would have loved to stay on here as people I worked with were lovely and I learned a lot working here.

I am front counter for all patients who attend there appointment. I also answer a very busy switchboard. I make all bookings for patients to attend there appointments. Also call patients to confirm there appointments. The department I work for is a very busy department.

as far as transitioning to work as an RN,the staff were not very friendly and not helpful when it came to asking team members for help ,some turned their backs and walked away,,,
