Stay away from Kings Transport, across all States. The business has been going through 10 years of poor executive management, which has unfortunately flowed down to all levels within the business.

A complete disregard to what happens on the front line, coupled with the Executive Teams strategy to win work at all costs has destroyed the culture. The business will sign to a long-term contract losing money, and expect Operations to deliver, which usually ends up with Driver Pays being cut and more responsibilities put on Site Staff and Customer Service with no pay increases. Sales staff are encouraged and paid incentives, regardless of how the contract performs, but the moment you don't have a new contract to sign up, you will be let go.

Drivers are seen as disposable, with immense pressure put on Personnel teams to 'overpromise' on potential weekly pays to drivers, resulting in high turnover. The drivers recruited typically are the rejects of other transport companies, who have had previous Driving or Safety issues. The Pay Rate Mechanism is complicated, leaving drivers confused on what is actually owed to them and what is considered a 'cost of business'. 

They have recently made $2 million worth of redundancies, practically shutting down operations in Sydney, Queensland, South and Western Australia, asking staff in Victoria to take on all other states, for NO additional pay.

Favouritism plays a big part of who gets promoted at Kings. Inside Tip: Go to your Managers casual footy games and cheer him on, the only proven way to get a pay increase at Kings Transport!

Although they preach Work Life Balance and Mental Health by putting all the signs up internally, when staff approach them, they are told 'You should be happy to have a job' and 'You just need to be more positive' and only when a safety incident threatens to have severe financial repercussions will someone get involved to resolve. Its a 'Tick a Box' culture from HR and Safety.

I encourage anyone looking for a job in Transport to stay away from Kings, find yourself another company who will support your development and fosters a team environment to overcome obstacles.

If you're a driver, you can find numerous other employers willing to pay you more per KM/Hour that will actually value you for your experience and insight and will ensure you are supported and safe each and every day.

In simple terms - A successful business is created by a lot of hard work, honesty & genuine commitment by all within it and those it deals.  NEVER have I been associated with,dealt with nor known an organisation that Promises so much, yet from Day 1 fails so miserably to deliver. If it wasnt for the occasional higher paying country job I would have left a lot earlier. The Management philosophy is very much "do as I say , not what I do & dont ask questions - because you wont get  honest answers? Every week there are pay discrepancies - Every week you need to challenge. Too many job types excluded from the pay schedule. You dont know what you are to be paid? You can drive 20km for as little as $2.00. No one should have to experience this.  Your job is to collect & deliver - we have no right to know - exemplifies the management attitude at Kings SA. If you dont like it - go away. Kings SA management have this arrangement "down pat". Kings SA have created a seriously toxic work environment which is widely recognised. Kings primary aim is their clients and income. The safety & work elements associated with their work are apallingly lacking. It is a real shame as there are some good people at the company & the work is generally OK. Kings SA management need to look in the mirror. Anyone looking for a courier type position would do much better looking elsewhere. - Its a real shame.

A company that could do a lot better if their management had better
communication skills. Rather than call their employees whingers for complaining for earning they had been promised and not received.
To be told to your face your a whinger is not very professional, especially for a company that so called prides itself in its work force. I have worked there for only a few months and have only once earned what we were originally promised in earnings. Every time I confront them the work is increased for a day or two then it returns to jobs that pay peanuts. With the right people looking after you at the control center you can make good money, get the wrong personal dispatching jobs can be the difference of making $70 a day or $180 a day. Its a shame because majority of staff working there are nice people. Kings go through a lot of couriers and a constantly advertising for new ones, and now I know why. The job itself meeting new people is the best part of the job.

Very bad company to work for... They treat you like a door mat.. They think your vehicle is there’s and they and can say what ever they think fit. If you decline advocates work because you are to far to travel to the next job they send to the app you go to the bottom of the line.. there fleet controllers are idiots and gave know clue in working there fleet also they are so argumentative in when you question there way of thinking... when you question them the operation manager steps in and puts a black mark against your name.. Don’t get injured at there clients pick up or delivery point..If you report the incident they force you get a doctors certicate.. They suspend you from work until they do there investigation. Even you are in the right and you are a pain to them they will sack you. In there own words they say that there OH&S rules where breached. Enter at own risk if you want to be treated like a peice of diet. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody

I have worked with Kings Group for more than 4 months as a warehouse staff only to find out its the company promotes nothing but nepotism and bigotry. You won't be considered for any internal vacant position unless you have a personal connection with some manager sitting in the head office.
This company has been recruiting and training the drivers mostly from the Indian community who don't even have full-working rights and most of them are just students who are being exploited by the subcontractors of Kings Transport. They will treat you like a darn robot and won't tolerate even positive feedback from your side. 
The warehouse at Truganina is full of Indian workers and supervisors. These supervisors were once drivers working with the company and licking the balls of company management they have been promoted to a supervisory role with no training and skillset required to perform the job.

A typical day at work- Run you into the ground without a care in the world. What I have learnt- Go on the dole it pays better! You provide your vehicle for free and get paid only for your work. Travel long distances for less pay than the fuel costs. Sham contracting at it worse. Need a Californian law AB5 in Australia!! Eg.Thirsty Camel deliveries pay 5 bucks for travelling 20kms. Travel 250-300kms for 150 bucks a day.
Management-If you play the game you can become a trusty and you will get more well paid jobs. Secret is to dont complain and dont explain! Workplace Culture-Just keep your head down do the underpaid jobs without complaining and you will gradually build up a reputation as a company man or as we say a Kingsman!!(see the movie its heeps good)

Very weird hours, u have no idea if u have just a pm job,wat time u start as u get a message in the morning latest around 10:30 a.m , to start at 1 pm and u still don't know which route you are going on untill you reach the depot and see the run sheet. Some times I was without a fuel card and once had to pay for diesel from my own pocket to b told to get reimbursement , but never happened, was missing 10 hours pay , never got fixed, and the run was sometimes from Laverton to Chadstone to pick up and delivery in that area too in peak hour traffic, delivery in apartments without lifts, I left because I work better when I am well planned for the day and which this job lacked , however I liked working in the country areas and beautiful views , worked on Sunday with penalty rates nearly 12 hours but got paid for only 8.5
Pay is good but not exactly what you work

Call main office to let them know I am on the road. Orders sent through from main office. Pick up and deliver orders whilst making sure I try to make my travelling efficient. Start 7am and finish 5 - 7 pm Mon - Fri.

Management let me run the business fairly freely. I made most of the decisions on pick ups and delivery schedule as long as I looked after their priority customers and VIP deliveries.

Long hours and a lot of travelling in city traffic was the hardest part.

I enjoyed making the decisions and planning my day although that was dependant on the orders sent to me and the locations of pick ups and deliveries.

Management is so corrupt. No money to be made. They abuse their staff with almost no money while warehouse managers wife takes all the loads away from the drivers. Manager and one driver claiming home delivery charges for store drops and taking all the work while other drivers are working for nothing and making a loss at the end of each day. The most corrupt company who is all about looking after the office muppets and treating the drivers (who actually do the work) like scum. After fuel, tolls, truck repayments and insurance you will make negative $100 a day so better off staying home. Having a useless bbq celebrating mental health yet the amount of stress they cause to their workers is ridiculous! Brisbane warehouse should be shut down or at least investigated!!!!!

A typical day runs from 6am until 1430. My day starts with bring stock down from reserve locations and place into pick face to enable the pickers to pick orders so that it can be sent out to customers.
through out the day i will unload and load trucks, checking in each delivery is correct to the invoice before putting away into reserve locations
i have learned how to manage my time and people skills as we employ people from different nationalities and daily encounters with delivery drivers from different nationalities
the hardest part of the job is progressing within as there are limited opportunities to do so 
the most enjoyable part is the freedom to be able to complete your daily tasks with out having someone constantly overseeing what you are doing
