What is the best part of working at the company?
Great management and lovely coworkers. And no politics or dramas at Broadway, Sydney store. 
As good as it can get in retail.

Good for part-timers (unit students or otherwise).

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Processing stock while managing customers and put-backs is as hard as it gets. Normally, there're at least three people working at any given day. So it gets easier to manage daily tasks.

If you're a manager or ASM, you'll also need to change store presentation (i.e. rotating items on the tables and walls, etc.). You'll get document from HQ detailing what to place where so that it is consistent in all branches.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Really good TBH.
No dramas or politics.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
If you're opening:
Clock in, start the registers, process stock (only on weekdays), help customers, manage rush hours, do banking, clock off and lock the door.

A typical day working at Just Jeans was very exciting. There is always something to do. It was a very social position to be in and that is what i enjoyed to most. The staff are amazing and the management is very efficient. I learnt how to communicate with a broad range of people that come from different backgrounds and how to demonstrate those skills with face to face service. The hardest part of the job would probably have to be the physicality of the work. being on your feet all day is hard and i didn't realise until i was doing long days there around Christmas time. but overall the workplace is well structured, efficient with everything they do and the environment and vibe of the store is incredible and very inviting.

It’s just stress, stress and stress!!!!
The upper management is useless and has no empathy on their staff. Keep pushing you towards unexpectable KPIs and stress you with VM work all week. The staff provided is less compared to the amount of work in store.

They have so many meetings. Customer service is one thing but so many other tasks will keep you so stressed and overwhelmed. 

Was cliquey and unfun to work here. Mananger only rostered her “favourites” and went through phasing of rostering her current favourite and then randomly firing people. Manager ghosted both me and another coworker, and then ghosted another coworker who was rostered heaps but suddenly got no shifts. Gave no feedback on how to improve. Customers are rude and expect the absolute most from you, and you’re expected to take rudeness and even verbal abuse with a smile and not care. Management does not care about wellbeing of their staff.

The overall work environment was positive, pay was fantastic and training was well done. However it feels like you are being watched by big brother, constant random checks from the head-office staff, as well as a few people in higher positions asserting their power much more than they needed to. Rosters were written 1 month in advance which allowed any employee little time to plan their personal schedule however you were able to swap shifts if you knew another Just Jeans employee.

The overall role would suit someone in a middle age, as that is the primary consumer base.

Having had many experiences with good companies and owners, I found little respect or listening to the people working with customers. They have more value on money targets than honest assistance with customers, generally condescending and find it very sad that mostly young people are employed and have nothing to compare with the difference of being treated with respect.

It has been over 7 years since i worked here but from what i remember i had a great experience there and a great team to work with .
 I was only a p/t employee and was lucky enough to gain extra working hours among 3 of there stores and other companies they are affiliated with.
This gave me a greater experience with the structure of there business which enabled me to benefit from further training experiences and thus more available hours.
Overall i had an enjoyable time working here.

As a sales assistant I tried so hard to be the best I could be, I was praised by my regional and manager but never received any benefits, the promised ‘incentives’ never came, I am owed hundreds of dollars from them in those incentives from my hard work at the store and I’ve never received anything. My store is pretty small so I love all my team. My manager is an angel and I love her so so much. It’s a classic minimum wage retail job but the culture in my store makes me want to stay. 

I enjoyed the environment in which I worked.  The days flew by as the stock levels were high and there was always something to do.
My store Manager was flexible and easy to work for.  The whole team knew what their tasks were and we got the job done.
My job wasn't hard because I enjoyed it so much.
The hardest part of the job was closing the doors for the final time when the store closed down.
