Just Cuts

The company is very unorganised, they lost my employment agreement twice.
I wasn't given an induction and had to figure out how the salons ran with my own initiative or by asking other employees. 
When I needed to take my 4 weeks off for my course work practicum I was told it wasn't possible and the manager still rostered me on knowing full well I would fail my diploma without doing my work practicum and seeming to forget that I had been promised this time off during my interview when I began. 
The company hasn't done anything to really help benefit me and if it weren't for the store managers I probably would of had to leave the workplace in order to finish off my Diploma in business.

I have never worked in an environment that is so unfulfilling, unprogressive and totally non-motivational. Their is zero incentive to excel, and zero recognition or acknowledgment for the work and the efforts that are put into the hours spent there. The staff are horrible and there is no team culture whatsoever. Horrendous communication from management. Owner never acknowledged or actioned repeated feedback about other staff’s behaviour or any other concerns or ideas for that matter. Rude and entitled clientele to put up with everyday. Sub-par hairdressing at best. No training or personal development at all. Completely draining and negative environment. Constant staff turnover. I had no inspiration to go to work at all. Would NOT recommend. 

A typical day at work included meeting & greeting alot of people! Booking appointments, Changing cash, Answering phones, liasing with other Just Cuts Salons, Making Orders.

My co-workers were my role models. I admire them all very much. I learnt alot from my co-workers and I believe my co-workers from Just Cuts have taught me my good work ethic & customer Service Skills.

The hardest part of the job was when it got busy. I am so thankful for my experience at Just Cuts for teaching me how to deal with busy work environments.

The most enjoyable part of the job was everything! I loved meeting new people, greeting clients and getting to know them, the responsibility of getting to do office work.

There is supportive team member environment with co-workers and clientele alike. Busy and structured work environment for workers like myself - whom enjoy being psychical. The hardest part of the job for me was the repetitiveness and lack of career progression. I have been in this industry for a number of years and still enjoy face to face customer service which is the upside of this job. Meeting new people constantly and attending to customer needs is rewarding and I learned that this alone can make a positive difference to someone's day.

Greeting clients as they step into the salon; take their inquiries and make them feel comfortable while they wait to be attended to. Answer the telephone and attend to inquiries made over the phone, Be very knowledgeable about various hair care products and give clients useful advice about the products if they seek your opinion. Check products in the salon to ensure that they are not out of stock, and inform management of products in shortage in order for them to place orders for more supplies

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people nice and I liked just doing the cuts. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes can get really busy. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good. The people were lovely and as the customers great. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just go ahead and cut the hair because it’s no appointment you never know what you’re going to do. It’s very interesting.

Loved working as part of the team,,25 years in the business, doing a cut every 15 min at times was inappropriate as you have different things to contend with,,then to have management on phone asking why it wasn't done in 15 min not bowing if client had fainted, wouldn't stay still,difficult,, ect,,a big part of hairdressing is also looking after your clients not just a production line,,

A very motivating, productive an fun workplace environment to be in. Time management and customer service was always required as an important part of the job. I learned how to attend clients needs in a  fast and efficient manner, with professional communication. I enjoyed working alongside other hairstylists with the same motivation as myself and the workplace culture had such great teamwork.

The environment of Just Cuts Waurn ponds was atrocious. So many people coming and going, no stability. Over worked and treated badly by clients and staff alike. No appreciation from management and no reason to come to work. The place absolutely ruins your mental health. There are no positives from working here. If you want to get treated like a slave with zero respect then maybe it’s for you. 

great all round place to work learnt so many new things working for just cuts , they are a very professional working environment 

great customer service ,the only thing i have to complain about is pricing system of the style cuts i feel that being $31 dollars they are loosing the clientele on many occasions i had customer yell at me and made me feel uncomfortable because of how they though the style cut was to expensive
