In my time working there, the cruise industry has faced challenge after challenge. Very minimal training for a very complex job. A lot is expected and day pay rate for less than 6 hours a day is not enough pay for the average person. Better suited to some one wanting part time hours.  No holiday or sick pay and casual is just over $25 an hour. For the job you do you really need to at minimum hit over your koi. Cancellations of sales cost u money also and wishes your efforts. Very little incentive prizes etc at best $10 gift card from time to time. Team leaders are great but upper management will boot you very quick if your not hitting koi. Travel reward program for staff is laughable so don't be sold on it or think you will get cheap cruises...you won't!.
Best leave this industry ALONE..  too hard. I speak from a lot of experience...just efforts and financial benefits arnt there.

This has to be the most stressful job I have ever had the displeasure to work for. It's your typical run of the mill sales position full of greedy management that do not care for their employees and will hire and fire to their hearts content. Their training was good, when I first started, but over the years has become a joke. You are hired, put into a training group for a week where you then learn nothing about what you do, or the product, or what you will face moving forward. The monthly budget has increased to ridiculous standards that applies so much pressure to you to meet your targets, all for it to rinse and repeat the following month. There are much better positions out there.

Typical day at work:
1) Be on time
2) Be shouted at for not getting to the meeting on time even though I was waiting by the center desk
3) Call 200 clients
4) Be told by one of my team leaders to do what I'm already doing
5) Be told by the other team leader that I'm doing an excellent job
6) Smoke excessively on breaks
7) Go home at 3
8) Pray I still had my job the next week

Honestly the hardest part of the job was a terrible script we had to stick to pretty much 100%. If we didn't get a sale, but we were close, it always came back to that. I could write more but I just can't be asked.

The culture and the people and it's fun it's travel, it's a good place

Very lovely work place with extremely friendly and down to earth employee's/employer's. Productive and goal driven, there wasn't one moment where I felt out of place or bored when i was working there.

I.C.E. Vacations as a company is just boring and have no culture and the most terrible management. it was a fun place when i started because my team made everything fun but then it all went downhill.

Fantastic  place to work great team and room for advancement good incentives and hours always pay correctly and on time  management are great and also team leaders are awesome culture it's excellent

Management team were not experienced in the travel industry and had unreal expectations and were unable to meet the team needs. Commission and bonuses were not competitive with other agencies.

Managing over 100 consultants, constantly exceeding KPIS, an awesome place to work. Is hard work, but the best reward is alos seeing your sales training paying off and consultants hitting the KPIs and PBS.
