Over all I had an amazing experience working at IGA! 

A typical work day involved serving customers that came in and helping with any of their needs. When I wasn't serving I was required to put out new stock that had come in that day or if there was no stock that came in I would need to face up the isle and clean the shop. 

I learned a lot about customer service and how to talk and handle different types of people. I also learned resposibility and how to be as efficent as possible when under time restraints. 

The managemnet is amazing they do such a good time and cater to everyones needs as best as they can and I do not have anything negative to say they are incredible and the business and individual shops are ran amazingly. 

The hardest part of the job is getting things done when you are trying to serve and complete tasks. Some days you finsh all the tasks with time to spare and other days you barley get one task done. 

Talking to customers and staff is the most enjoyable part of working at IGA. 90% of customers are nice as punch and after a while they start becoming your friends and it just makes the job easier when you can actually have a chat and relate with the customers. The staff at the IGA I worked at were like family to me everyone supports eachother and has eachothers back if there is a customer that comes in that is aggrevated but over all the experince at IGA is a pleasurbale one.

As a store manager i opened at 6 in the morning and finish my job at 2 or 3 in the evening after hand over to Asst manager or Duty Manager, As i based in Walgett,NSW it self so i do visit shop as Surprise Entry. This shop creates my Foundation, such as i became Store Manager from Asst.Store Manager, so in a short time i learned from Middle to Top management Activities and Protocols.
So as par my Resume i have learned everything which is required to handle and run the shop, As a Team Leader we achieved Retail Standards year after year and that makes my Understanding stronger for the Compliance and  Regulations.

Our Top most Management(OWNERS) was always helpful to me and other staff members, and they never let me down. As having such wonderful Management all Staff Members work in friendly nature and having a back up for individuals,  there is nothing hardest part but sometimes when machines break down or having problem for not getting stocks on time as this location is 650 KMs away from Sydney. 

 The Australian Culture of Mate ship prevails at this shop, where every one has their own things to do but still helps when needed. When ever we have Birthdays or anniversaries for staff members we always announces in shop such as in small town of 2300 people they(locals) know us and personally wishes, that is great.that  makes proud to do the Job even on that Special day.

A typical day working at IGA isn't just like any other but something different filled with energy and excitement that makes your your brain tingle out of excitement to work the next day,fun and the great friendly feeling of belonging and love you receive from your coworkers. I've learned a lot working at  IGA and some of the things I've learned is that you've gotta love your work in order to be the best worker u can be, be punctual, listen to details with all ears, take initiative and don't be afraid to share your ideas because at IGA all ideas from employees are accepted. Also don't forget to smile and be thankful. The management team at IGA is super organised and up to date and they do their best to make your work as an employee manageable and easy. The hardest part of the job is dealing with angry customers but no problem though I guess you gotta get used to it and it's a good experience so it's nothing to make a fuss about or take personal. Moreover, the work place culture is diverse and so colourfully multicultural, no discrimination against any body whether its religion,gender, or race and colour of your skin, they accept you for who you are and instead invest in you to learn and gain as much experience as you can working with them as part of a team. The most enjoyable part of the job is the pay cheque at the end of the week ... straight up, not gonna lie.

A day at IGA would be me in the deli and if i had spare time i would help out the girls on the registers and help the boys on load. I learned everything you need to know about retail, how to work with customers, how to help a customer if they need help by getting a manger or calling the boss. I learned how to serve people, how to help people when struggling to find products in the shop, how to become a manger and deal with unexpected events eg if there was a blackout, people who were stealing, workers who didn't show up for shifts just to name a few. Having the privileged of being a manger, opening and running the shop on the weekends was a great opportunity for me and i really appreciated my job for letting me have the experience. My co-workers appreciated me helping them out in places where older mangers couldn't do ie filling up the drink fridge and teaching them how to do a smokes list. The hardest part of my job was calling the cops for people stealing as i was manger and in charge of the shop. The most enjoyable part of the job was working, i love working and i'm not scared to do the jobs that everyone else hates doing ie cleaning drains. I love working and look forward to all my shifts. I don't mind working long hours and would rather long hours to short hours. I do have a car so traveling to work was very easy and being called up to start in the next 10 mins was a breeze to get there in time.

IGA Ravenswood is a friendly place too work, and friendly locals. Always service with a smile, they are big on customer service and giving their customers the best service to keep them coming back. Co-workers are easy going and hard working. They make working in a team enjoyable and they get the job done. A typical day at work would involved doing the load on the floor and getting it done as soon as possible so it is off the floor. This involves marking invoices, taking the items to their correct isle and unpacking and displaying the products ordered. The hardest part of the job would be the frozen load, which involved entering a large freezer, unstacking a pallet with the products on it and loading them onto a trolley, getting them into the main display freezers as fast as possible before deforsting. The job was always challenging which i enjoyed. The management are friendly, and give good criticism when needed. What i learned from working at the IGA is how to work productively in a team and how to always meet a challenge or beat it and do better.

I applied at IGA by walking in with my application and then I met the manager. My application was extremely quick, she read over my resume and asked me to come in 3 times over the next week. I loved my first 3 shifts at IGA, the staff are so nice and were very helpful on my first day. The supervisors are really nice as well. After that week, I was put on the roster and started official work.

A typical day at work involves signing in and then going to the counter, where the supervisor will ask you to do something. There are various jobs at IGA, some of these are:
-Counter
-Refilling chips, lollies, or drinks
-Filling the milk fridge
-Cleaning the chicken cooking room or outback

I am learning a lot about customer service and how to interact with different people, also about hard work, and the workforce in general.

The management at IGA is fair but firm, which is very good to have in a store. They are overall extremely nice people, though strict at times, they make sure a job gets done.

The hardest part of the job would be the cigarettes, either filling them or just dealing with the annoying cupboards.

The most enjoyable part of the job is talking to nice and happy customers and having a laugh or a good conversation while I scan their items.

It was a relitly easy job to do once my rutein was in place, the ability to serve customers with doing maintenance on the stores facility with one of the main prioritys in the store. The costomer always came first, drom everything to there conveinance. 

As the senior member of the crew I would deligate 1 or 2 people to spacific gouls within the store, to both allow the shop floor to be well maintained and fully stocked, to the cooking area spotless and sanetery enouph to produce products of a high enouph standerd. In a conveneance store there is always soething to do.

The manager was a bit esentric ad prone to random out bursts or agre, though throughj this I was still able to gain the knoledge of when was wrong and rectefy the issue in a manageble way, while still carrying out my pre-set duitys.

The hardest part about my job was the face that you would always be on the look out for shop lifters. They knew when to strike in the busie times of the morening and night.

The most enjoyable part of working there was the workers, if you needed help they would be there, if there was something that needs doing they would do it without question. The dedication to help a mate out was a very reliable feeling.

A typical day at work for me included restocking the entire freezer section ensuring that I'm following guidelines, such as first in first out and checking all expiry dates for out of date product. Once I finished stocking I would then pull everything forward and present it in an appealing way for customers. I would then clean the freezer windows and shelves to ensure optimum cleanliness. After all of my designated jobs for the day are completed I would assist the checkout staff with their duties until it was time for me to finish. Everyone I worked with was so kind and helpful in assisting me with anything I was unsure about. The work place culture was very positive, everyone is accepted and allowed to express individuality. The hardest part of the job would have be time management, as I would have a lot to do in a short amount of time. Managing my time effectively and productively definitely helped with keeping up with company goals. The most enjoyable part of my job was being able to work independently and at my own pace, as well as having shifts that I was able to work with others and learn more about the work place from a different perspective.

Super IGA Denmark WA was an unusual place to work, mainly because I had never worked in this market of food and groceries.

Super IGA Denmark had the privilege of being the biggest in town. They had no competition as Woolworths, Coles and Aldi did not have a store in Denmark.

Being new to the food industry it was sink or swim. Due to the management team, and the polices they had in place, made for a relative easy transgression. 

The hardest part for me in this role was to get my work colleagues to accept me. To come straight into a management position with no previous experience in the food industry, caused some unrest. Through my experience from my training in Management and sales, I gained the majority of acceptance. My co-workers accepted me along with the majority of management.

The most enjoyable part of the job was nurturing the young employees, the schoolie part timers and the new starters.        

I believe when you are in a selling role, wether that being large generators, cherry pickers, heavy compaction, management or a bag of bananas, you must get that client or customer to believe the service you are selling is in there best interest.

This particular job had excellent managers. Good role models.
I was able to enhance my prior knowledge and abilities of management and supervising skills.
Completing tasks that were expected from my position.

A typical day had a lot of variety to my role from assisting in the front of store for customer service to administration and money budgeting and balancing.

There was a lot of co-workers, there fore a lot of different personalities. I enjoy the challenge of understanding personality traits and balancing them into a working environment that enabled "the happy staff, happy customer policy'.

The hardest part for me in this job was too many staff and not enough shifts to go around.   I really wanted a full time position but they only offered casual position. 
I was not getting enough hours but I did fully understand that they had to offer shifts to all staff, especially the juniors.
