Healthy Habits

The longer I worked at Healthy Habits, the more I realised that our day consisted of a solid, almost exact routine. Prep in the morning, making the sandwiches, putting customers first, rushing around to provide the best service possible. This was my first job so before exploring further into the workforce, I hadn't realised that it could even be different elsewhere, where customers are not put first.

I learnt very quickly how to time manage, multi- task, memorise prices, calculate change in my head, and do the jobs no one else wanted to do. 

Because it was a franchise, I never met the CEO of the company, however, I worked regularly with my managers and boss. The sandwich bar was run effectively and smoothly. Every member of the team was chosen for their attitude, not necessarily their merits, and when the busiest part of the day came and we were all hot and bothered, this really showed the strategy on my boss's part, as there was rarely any discord within the crew.

Personally, my favourite part of the job was making coffee as I discovered I had a knack for it.

A typical day at work was a fast-paced and busy enviroment that included continuously serving customers and making sure our customers were satisfied with the products and service they recieved. I learned that the wrong people in any position could cause a great deal of unorganised chaos but it was easily sorted with clear, concise communication and active listening. Management was supportive of staff and provided training when required. The hardest part of the job was keeping staff morale high to ensure our customers were treated with respect and given high quality service.
The easiest part of the job was the day to day running of the kiosk and making sure it was well stocked and that all products were fresh.

personally allowed me develop skills such as making coffees closing shop.
the people there are wonderful to work with funny interested understanding of your opinion. in everyday job was to serve customers and make there food / juice or smoothers. general cleaning working there was never boring with your work.
I personally left I was pregnant and left good understanding.
health habits was small but big at heart.

- Interacting with customers, serving them while having conversations to their best interest, especially elders to build personal bonds with them and sometimes they give back to the workers for their services. 

- I learnt to make sandwiches at a very fast paced consistently and preparing food items 

- The procedure of the system is great in terms of cleaning and service, however needs work on the pay structure and timing. 

- Fairly easy and straight forward job, no major difficulties.

working with a good staff and in a clean environment is one of the most important thing which matters. this is a part of management. most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction part with the customers and when you get a positive feedback it makes you feel more happy.

I enjoyed working for Healthy Habits on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane. I now have 10+ years of retail experience because of working for this company. It was a great environment for increasing my food and beverage preperation skills

Healthy habits enabled me to grow in team skills and organisation. I was able to excel in a fast passed environment. I learnt to listen to instructions very finely and work under pressure.

This was a really bad company to work for. They are pretty much extinct now because of their lack of process and practices when it comes to food safety as well as sales.

Great company to work for . Exciting new fresh healthy ideas and methods of food survey and menus. Friendly management who are flexible and understanding to work and supply opportunities within the business.

fun and challenging and dealing with different people, working in a fast paced environment, great for a starter of the employer, the management of the team was great
