I absolutely loved working with and meeting the other clinicians and clients that I had the opportunity to at GRS. 
BUT in regards to management there are many poor practices and absolutely inappropriate ways of treating staff and the participants and it was so disheartening to see the same patterns repeat time and time again.
There are false promises and over-abundant grandiosity that this company presents but overall there is an underlying greed and toxic culture with little consideration for the clients and staff. And financial and personal gain of the company was driving and motivating the growth.
Unfortunately in my time there I have seen the reputation of this company diminish with clients and their care coordinators, and I am so glad my name is no longer associated with them.
Please don't get me wrong - the coworkers and other clinicians you get to work with are incredible! I learned so much and have had the opportunity to make great connections...it's the company and management itself that is my concern for others.
I have witnessed poor management and lack of consideration and professionalism and negative repercussions for staff who raised concerns at times. I don't make these comments lightly, and it has been repeated patterns over time that I have seen to get me to this point - I was lucky enough to not have been one of the worst, but I have seen and know more than enough! It was honestly horrifying at times bevause of the subtle and secretive nature.
You are promised the world and made to feel supported, but when it comes down to it the business is driven by financial gain at anyone's expense (including our clients). 
The systems in place are inefficient, and they overwork and make people feel like nothing is ever good enough. 
As an Allied Health clinician this toxic culture is absolutely not what I stand for on an ethical level for our beautiful clients. My personal and professional core values strongly tend towards support, care, kindness, empathy, and understanding - unfortunately this is not a culture that GRS has.

GRS has been the best organisation that I have had the privilege of working at since I began practicing as an OT. I have had ample learning opportunities with caseloads being split and then choosing areas I would like to further my practice in. I have had multiple opportunities to advance my career growth with management being incredibly supportive of my lifestyle wishes and how I can advance my career in the areas I am passionate about. Whilst the NDIS is a challenging area to practice within, I have felt supported and have been able to maintain a healthy work/life balance at GRS. I no longer come home from work stressed out!
Some other benefits I have noticed working at GRS are:

- Staff who genuinely care about each other professionally and personally. I have created so many longterm friendships with all of my colleagues
- Supervision ++ 1:1 supervision, group based supervision, case discussions, team case conferences and the list goes on!
- Phone provided by GRS so you can balance the work/life!
- Team lunches on Tuesdays, team outings and events throughout the year

This is a company that values and supports its employees. It provides a great collaborative environment with appropriate KPIs that encourage staff to reach higher while still feeling accomplished. 
A business that prioritises the needs of the clients and staff above the dollar signs instead of the other way around. As an AH clinician, it is so important to have the focus on helping our clients while maintaining self-care. 
In an industry where many employers; prioritise profits, demonstrate ongoing frugal spending on the office/staff, implement unnecessarily complex/time-consuming admin systems, and over-work their clinical staff, it’s refreshing to find an employer that holds true to the core values of being an AH clinician, and that is the support the populations that need us. 
Seeing management maintain their face-to-face clinician status within the company is incredibly motivating for new staff, and maintains that focus on the clients. 
If someone is looking for a wonderfully supportive work environment where they’re given the autonomy and trust to do their job, while still having regular access to more experienced clinicians, I would highly recommend Global Rehabilitation Services to them. 

A typical day at work consists of visiting 3-4 clients at their home. They are usually taken through an assessment or a home based rehabilitation program. 

I have learnt how to better think outside the box as my goals for clients needs have been more lifestyle focused. 

Management is the best I’ve worked with. They have been very supportive, approachable, open to new ideas and suggestions, and always professional. 

Although as a clinician there is not much face to face interaction with other colleagues, there is very evident growth and encouragement of a positive and healthy workplace culture. The other Clinicians I have worked with are very supportive and more than willing to collaborate. Online platforms such as email and WhatsApp are very efficient and effective methods we use to share ideas and ask questions. There is also clinics which are readily available for clinicians to use and these seem like great hubs to interact with other clinicians. 

The most challenging part of the job for me personally is working with more complex clients that might not be able to communicate. However, This has contributed to a significant growth in my abilities to think outside the box so it has been a positive experience.  

The best part of this job is the flexibility. I’m able to schedule my clients around my life so I’m able to continue with all the many passions I have in my life including travel.

The company culture at GRS aligns directly with the company's values: passion, professionalism and compassion. The team at GRS are extremely dedicated, positive and diverse. At GRS the company puts people first which allows for a safe space for all employees of any level to share their concerns or troubles to management. 

Management treats their employees like family and always makes an effort to recognise and celebrate their employee's hard work and achievements in their role. In my time I have seen management:
- openly appraise good workers during staff meetings
- be accommodating, supportive and encouraging to my teammates who have expressed their desire to upskill their abilities
- organise farewell parties
- organise celebrations for unrelated work matters: maternity party
- celebrate small wins



My typical day is spent between my home office (on the phone, writing reports, or providing Telehealth support) and on the road (seeing clients, coming in to the office, or talking to other clinicians). The challenging nature of the clientele and the high standard of work leads to a cognitively challenging and equally rewarding workplace that fosters growth. 

I've found the cognitive load can be challenging and is not for the faint of heart, but my confidence and knowledge as a clinician has grown tenfold and I can only speak highly of the company. 

I have really enjoyed my time with GRS. 
There is a high level of flexibility with hours that allows you to have a great work life balance. 
I find management to be approachable and they encourage open feedback and communication. 
There is a large number of senior staff, regular in-services and opportunities to learn and grow as a clinician. 
There are options to work from the office or home and other staff are very friendly. 
The amount of face to face vs report writing time will vary depending on the nature of the caseload. KPI's are very achievable. 
I would recommend this company to other OT's looking to work within the Community NDIS sector. 

You can arrange your schedule with your clients. The wide range of conditions that NDIS support means every client is different. While it may be daunting on the surface, you have a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to discuss any issues you may encounter. The culture of GRS focuses on building a team of dedicated health professionals who aim to offer the best service to NDIS clients while offering strong managerial guidance when things don't run smoothly for your clients. The most rewarding part of your work is knowing that you can make a significant difference in the quality of  life of someone with a long-term disability.

I  really enjoyed working with my fellow team mates at GRS however the culture that is promoted by the management team is not something I can align my values with. Any concerns I raised were immediately dismissed by management and I often felt as though I was being gaslighted when I spoke up. Employees are expected to provide all of their own equipment such as phones and computers as well as use their own vehicles/fuel when visiting clients. I left this company feeling emotionally drained and unsupported.

Work culture is supportive and flexible. 
A typical day includes traveling to clients, phone calls to clients, support agencies, staff etc, answer emails and reports, use of various software and apps.
Management are very approachable and fair. 
Hardest part of the job is that it can be quite busy and chaotic at times
I have learnt communication is very tricky when so many people are involved in care of a client and things usually take much longer than you expect to get sorted when it comes to NDIS. 
Best part of the job is the flexibility of hours, a great variety in client cases and a very supportive team
