I worked for the company for over 2 years and it  was very unprofessional.
Very high turn over of staff due to being micromanaged ,controlled and dictated by very unprofessional management who liked to bully their staff everyday by leaving petty notes all around the shop which showed a lack of her confidence ,poor communication and intimidation of other staff members .
For example .Don't leave pens on Keyboard THANKS  .Don't move EFTPOS machine THANKS
Don't move scanner I have put tape under it THANKS ,Don't press computer screen THANKS .... Absolutely Terrible unacceptable toxic environment from management.

The management of this company leaves a lot to be desired. I will give 120% to any job as long as it is recognized and I get a thankyou.
This company just threaten your job by emails from QLD where the Head Office is constantly.
I am expected to do a Management Position that is not in my contract, I was not asked but told I was to do it and not get paid any extra for it and if I don't then there is no job for me.
It is a very thankless job with no job security at all.

Management are overworked and underpaid with little to no support. Massive amounts of unpaid overtime expected. Salary works out to far less than minimum wage when considering overtime and travel expenses. Casual employees are however paid decently, though management are pressured to send them home at a moments notice or cut their hours whenever possible.

Promised bonuses and incentives that never happen. Extremely difficult to take any time off. Very high turnover of staff at the upper levels resulting in frequent miscommunications and confusion.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Building a rapport with regular customers. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very little communication and help from head office.  
Not being able to order stock customers want before it runs out.

Store level was good.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Serving customers, replenishing stock, cleaning.

Work required seving of customers and keeping shelves stocked I learned alot about tobacco my manager wasn't very good workplace culture was fine the hardest part of the job was learning all the different smokes and where they belong in the store the most enjoyable thing was to get to learn what the regulars got and have it ready when they heading towards the shop 

There's no appreciation of their employees, they fail to realise that without employees they don't have a business, unhappy employees results in less productivity, which results in less profit. harassment from department head in regards to matters that are not related to their role.There's no sense of teamwork from HO it appears as everyone is running their own show and no communication going on in HO.

worked 7am until sometimes 9 or 10pm.
Traveled long distances.
Was never reimbursed fuel.
Was promised a large bonus i never received. 
Was constantly fixing other peoples mistakes.
Clients were fantastic.
Got on well with other managers.
Paid under retail award rate not a Managers rate.
No overtime paid. 
No weekend rates, but expected to work.

We were specifically told not to call Head Office with problems. Only care about sales, not employees.

Store manager salary of $45k is pathetic and they are expected to do overtime every week.

No part time staff, only casual or store management. Lack of career progression makes the job hard to care for.

Most days you work overtime (expected of you) with no pay benefits, no pay-rises given or progression in career, upper management are bullies and treat/talk to you horribly, large turn over in staff, no structure to the work.

I enjoyed the position greatly with my first and second manager.
Hours were reasonable always had a good work/home balance.
Monthly full stocktaking is pretty draining.
