I walked into work like i was walking on court to play a game of volley. Each day was different with a good possibility of minor changes to your team due to roster. These changes would make or break us sometimes but you learn to work with the hand that is dealt you. You  learn to "keep it moving". Our management team as a collective had experience of 50-60years within the company.  They were the most invested and dedicated to seeing how best to tackle daily challenges and meeting daily objectives the best way they knew how. I am qualified Graphic Designer. Moving to Australia I gave myself a year in this warehouse to save then move on to a graphic job. That never happened much to my fathers dismay ( a Samoan thing) lol I thoroughly enjoyed the work, the bosses, the physicality of the job. The money was great and most of all the relationships I formed with the people i worked with. The work was hard at times very physical, but that is what i loved about it. Everyday was different. Why would I leave? 
As i get older balance is everything. My love for the creative world is more progressive now than its ever been because i choose to keep it in in my life without making it my life's mission. The hardest part about the job was leaving it. I was glad to stay to the end. It was a good ride and a wave that will be hard to beat. This is what i have learned. "You're only as good as your team,  as strong as your weakest link". Overall some of the best learning years of my life, definitely some of the best years of my working life!

What is the best part of working at the company?
I work pm shift, people and culture is great. Easy money 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes, there isn't enough hours in a shift to do everything you wanted. 
For new recruits I would say the amount of forklifts and trucks operating the same time would be the most stressful 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very fast paced at peak times and very slow other times,  as a full time loader I find to be at it all day and rarely get bored. Culture is good here and everyone is friendly as long as you're not lazy! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As a full time loader, I get to work i find my assigned forklift, after checks I drive to the where I load my services, check which trailers I'm loading and after confirmation I'll open my trailers up ready to be loaded.
As the freights comes in I'll start filling trailers and will do all night.
We have yard hands to help strap and close trailers but don't expect to not throw your own strap here and there.
After paperwork is complete for the night it's home time

At the beginning there was a glimmer of hope that their values meant something, that was short lived

If you are not in head office you often felt secluded like you and other team members were not part of the 'wider team' there's an HR department however most are bias and nothing is taken seriously its swept under the rug

This is certainly not a company that lives by its values, and appears they haven't for a long time. It's a company that tells you what you want to hear and when it goes south they turn their back on you.

They got too big too fast and are trying to find holes to poke their original values back into to make them selves look better. Get back to your roots, set an example and lead by example.

Boring and not challenging.  I did not learn anything new except that I needed more intellectual stimulation in a job.
Management did not communicate well, staff were not happy at work.
Workplace culture was one of bullying and harassment.  The men were often wrestling each other and making derogatory comments about each other.  
Everyone came from a different workplace experience in the transport industry.  There were no work methods, each one doing it the way they liked.  This made it very hard to learn the job as the office was open and you could have five people getting upset if you didn't do things their way.  
When I broached this with management and asked for clarity, she just made excuses for the staff and did nothing to help me.  
I did not enjoy this job and found the office atmosphere, degrading and unprofessional.

They claimed to be all about their people and culture, but in reality no one in management there cares about the people or the culture. Went to my manager multiple times about issues with another staff member treating me poorly, nothing happened. Supervisors treating staff poorly and when reporting them all you get is excuses like “he’s feeling sick”. The operations staff in eagle farm are a joke, couldn’t organise a doctors appointment let alone run a business. If you’re an arrogant and narcissistic person you will fit in, if you’re a decent person, you’ll be treated poorly and not one person will do anything about it.

Driving different types of Trucks 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being pushed to the limit  on a day to day basis Jobs keep getting sent to even though you have no hope of getting them all

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic , you only progress if you are good on your knees not because of your work ethic

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Flat out and exhausting

Worked with them for some 2 1/2 years , driving and delivering freight around the town, had a take some time off work for family reasons , to get my dad sorted out and into a nursing home , took a month off with out pay . Also I am my dads EPOE and I needed to take a couple of days off to take my dad to appointments and I was refused the time off , so I resigned and finished up with them.

fun working environment,  great managers and bosses , flexability when it comes to personal or family issues. My typical day would be turning the packing machine on and getting the strapping machines on and working making sure printer is working and loaded with paper.  There really is nothing hard about my job as a picker and packer with magazines .. Enjoyable part is working within a great team .

i am a hard working very flexible in any hours or shift work needed. Acquiring as many skills as possible is my goal to be able to offer my employer as much hands on experience I can and always wanting to acquire more skills and always learning to make me a great assist to any company.  Not just an employee doing my job but also someone you can count on to help in all aspects of your business when required.

The job itself is good . Majority of the team is good. But the pay is well below average. They tell you they made a huge profit one month which would have easily covered pay raises for everyone for the year but it doesn’t flow through to the people busting their butts off. 
Can’t get staff because of the low pay rate and then the ones that do start are useless that don’t get sacked because they can’t get anyone else
