My typical day at work was working with my staff to achieve our daily KPI's I have learnt so much about working with people with disabilities especially communication and dealing with their every need.  It is not your typical work place.  They are sensitive to almost everything and must be treated with such tenderness that it changes you and helps each of my staff including myself to grow in understanding needs, safety requirements and recognize when each supported employee is struggling and require immediate attention. Patience is enhanced 10 fold. 
The hardest part of the job is when one of them is hospitalized or passes away due to their individual circumstance or disability.
The most enjoyable part is see them achieve the impossible.  Many people consider these amazing individual as not to smart because of their child like behaviour. but their ability to adapt is incredible.  They strive to be the best even with limited physical abilities.  I find myself in awe on so many levels and occasion working with these incredible employees. They love new challenges and always give it a go.  I never hear complaints with their challenges only excitement.  I think we can all learn so great life lesson from observing their work ethic.  I know I have.
In conclusion, I am so glad I have the opportunity to work with such an amazing team and look forward to many more lessons and success.

Toxic, rumour driven environment.
Managers do not help. They have their favourites and reward them accordingly.
Company is purely business focussed and in the end they turn a blind eye to those who need support.
Managers do not have your back. No loyalty or recognition.
Overworked and underpaid. Regular staff burnt out and stressed out.
Communication between staff and managers is a joke.
Rostering is also laughable. 
If you do go ahead and get the job expect to be on your own with multiple clients on a hectic schedule as they are constantly understaffed.
Expect for managers and hr to overlook you for promotions to external applicants.
You only have to see how many times endeavour advertises positions to know that there is a high turnover of staff and not due to internal promotion (as they'd have you believe) but due to regular staff tired of being treated like garbage in a stressful work environment deciding it's time to move on.
At least thirty staff by my count had left from when I started to when I finished.
Don't take my word for it. Apply and get the job. In a few weeks you'll see everything I listed above.
There are plenty of other worthy non for profit disability organisations out there that support their staff and are in it for the right reasons! Do yourself a favour-apply anywhere but Endeavour!

* Start at 5am. Start paperwork, support with breakfast/showers. 
clean residential, look after 9 People and help them get off to work and other support groups. Have a break and back at 3pm and work until 10pm and sleepover. 
I have learned so much as Endeavour has a very high standard of training on a regular basis. Training is consisted of Workplace health and safety, infection control, office ergonomics, Fire Warden, food safety, and so much more. Also learning how to support people with autism, down's syndrome, Angelman's syndrome, intellectual disability and CP.  
I work in a very good team environment. In the Residential home where I work there are 4 support workers and we have a great working relationship. Communication is one of our greatest requirements and honesty and shared responsibilities.
The Hardest part of the job is the 76 hours we work in the one week. This job is very full on and is constant and with high responsibilities.
The most enjoyable part of my job is knowing I have made a difference in their life by helping them to be more independent and being able to make decisions for themselves. The feedback I get from families and Management is great and makes me feel that I am doing my job well.

Assisting and prompting clients to achive their daily coals, Their personal hygene, to make  healthy meals and also chores around the house.

I have learned what the triggers are can read  the warning signs   before a client  starts to esculate .

Management : There are support and Operational  Managers, Line Managers,and the CEO. They all work as a team with the same goals: To support our clients to achive their personal coals in life with dignity.

We all work as a team and have our clients best interest in mind.We work to enrich the lives of our clients by teaching them how to maintain the skills that they already have, and teach them new skills.

The hardest part is to learn as a support worker/carer ,never to take a clients outbursts and behaviours personal

It feels wonderful to see the joy on a clients face when they learn something new. How to use a vacuum cleaner properly for the first time, or hang their own washing. Even to be able to choose a healthy meal instead of a burger.Those are the little things that make me very happy as a carer.

. Overworked, cant go home after shift ends due to staff shortages and a high turnover of staff. Run of youre feet, staying back after shift to catch up on enormous amount of paperwork.
. I Learned with a good dedicated team effort, you will see progress in clients goals and much improvement in there behaviours overall.
.Management are inexperienced, no communication with front line staff, Majority of managers do not even know the residants, and make unreasonable demands on frontline workers. Management do not value there support staff, and are quick to bully staff when they raise a concern or complaint, to the point they are targeted with false allegations, not given shifts and are forced to resign. 
. The hardest part of the Job is walking on eggshells due to micromanaging and bullying. Not been able to voice any concerns as you are left in a position of not knowing who to trust, as many family members are hired to work in upper management positions and HR positions

Endeavour care so much about their customers, it's all about them, 
Thats what they say but it's really all about money. Staff and In House Managers care but everyone above cares only about $ and passing work down the line,
Every Senior Manager declares ' my door is always open' but like 'Major Major' it's only open when they are not in, 
They refuse to return phone calls and emails but spend their time adding more work to staff and have no idea what's happening in homes and day centres. Massive staff and manager turnover tells the story.

Travel to clients residence or school and pick them up for what ever support is required, complete daily activities with clients and super there independence.

I learnt how to support individuals with various disabilities and how to support there needs while promoting there independence.

The management team where very supportive and would always go out of there way to assist with any issues that could possibly arise.

The workplace culture was very team orientated and everyone was willing to assist each other.

The hardest part of the job was sometimes dealing with very high needs clients with mental disabilities and could sometimes be challenging.

The most enjoyable part is making a positive impact on the clients and seeing clients progress with their goals.

Endeavour taught me how to interact and approach customers, sorting and dealing with stock, opening and closing shop.
Management could be worked better, if the manager had less demanding work on their shoulders from the company, causes much stress which is put onto the volunteers as well as the manager to maintain the shop.
Co-workers are fun and all about making an effort to improve upon the shop to encourage more buyers. The people who volunteer and work with you are kind and genuinely care.
Dealing with theft and loss of sales that affect the business directly is rough but learned well through the way you are affected and feel a distress in knowing loss of sales is a loss of support for the disabled children and families the company supports.

Was such a fun, wonderful experience. Everyone was so understanding and happy, I enjoyed Friday's the most because everyone was singing, a certain station plays and they have the best music. When I was on work experience, it didn't even feel like work it was amazing. 

Everyone is so caring of one another as well, whenever somebody didn't understand something they always took the time. I was about sixteen when I worked for this company, now I am seventeen almost eighteen!

I still talk about it till this day how great it was! 
Thanks to the endeavour foundation, I was able to weigh things on my own. I can't explain how many years I struggled with certain things, I got over it so fast there and was so proud of myself. 
Another thing that was good is they all push each other to do better.

The politics of staff and company direction and actions

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very poor work environment, culture is sadly lacking, poor team work from some staff, concerns for pws not rectified by management, especially as they have reduced staff in 24/7 residential homes.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My typical day is greeting team mates, people we support, go looking for items to start the day as previous staff have not prepped basics such as milk bread hand towels etc
