What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay rate was good, they consistently give out good shifts and are generally good at accomodating for time off

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management was not good at mnaging. They didnt work together and hardly communicated. They were hot headed and got mad easily. They never let anyone learn to do new roles and i felt stuck doing what i was doing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Between coworkers and chefs its a nice environment. When any managers get stressed and hotheaded, it turns bad and becomes very stressful

Honestly, one of the jobs I've had. Super fun, very friendly staff and management treats you like family. Yes it is very busy, but having enough colleagues with you helps a lot and makes it a fun time! That was my first job ever and Im super grateful that it was here. I had to leave as I am moving down the coast with my family otherwise id stay for a long time.
Not sure why others weren't getting their payslips, I've received mine automatically with every pay via email and my super was always correct.

i don’t recommend working here, extremely bad and late pay, management are rude, and no matter how kind you are to everyone, staff will treat you coldly and rudely. you are given absolutely no training and are expected to just know what to do. extremely long hours without breaks. the whole time i worked here i felt as if i was unwanted there. your work is unappreciated and if you make a mistake your ridiculed and made to feel stupid (even though you get 0 training.) violates a lot of WHS rules. HORRIBLE WORKPLACE‼️‼️

Absolutely horrible place to work. No matter how hard you work, management is horrible to you and never appreciative. Underpaid, undervalued, understaffed. HUGE OHS health issues and hazards that make this workplace incredibly dangerous to work in. Most waitstaff were working 10+ hours when I worked there with no breaks and no appreciation. You deserve to be treated so much better than this place treats you. Don't waste your time! 

I was working here for a year, the management is friendly to you for a week or two then you’re seen as the black sheep unless you’re wealthy. 

Once I had turned 17 my pay was still sitting at $16 an hour, meanwhile there was a coworker who was 16 getting paid $17 an hour. 

The only good thing about working here was making friends out of the other staff. 

Personally I see this job as a pocket money type of job, not a full time job.

Underpaid, under appreciated, poor behaviour from managers - no respect, poor communication. Hired with no training, which isn't uncommon. The managers that are family members, love to publically yell and humiliate you for no reason. Would either be overworked - 8+ hours with no break, or would be underworked - ignored during the roster scheduling, shifts constantly cancelled up to 10 minutes before your shift. Only two nice managers (M & A), the rest need to become better people. 

I have been working at Emu Hall Since day one and I love it here. 
The customers you meet daily are amazing and the management team does anything for the staff to be happy. 
I have recommended Emu Hall to all my family and friends and 3 of my friends have been employed here since I have. 
I could not recommend it more as their has been a major improvement and pay is way more than average pay rates. 

This company does NOT care about you. They will hire you purely based on the fact that you don’t know any better and lack judgment on what a fair work environment is. They will not pay you correctly, they don’t pay their taxes properly, and they will stop giving you shifts if you disobey them until you’re forced to quit. 

Don’t work here. It’s not a good place to work it’s a job that makes you regret waking up in the morning from the terrible pay to management having different way to handling to things and don’t expect training. I don’t understand how they kept this place running oh wait I do it’s the staff breaking their back for pennies will they make 100s

Horrible management who pay you unfairly and dishonestly. Money hungry people who will do anything to save a dollar including short paying their own staff.  Don’t work here unless you are absolutely desperate. You will not feel secure in this job. Super is also not paid, no weekend rates
