Early Learning Centre

Typical day at work is preparing the arts & crafts table for the children. Cleaning up tables before and after morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch. Settling children for read-aloud time before and after a nap time after lunch. Changing children's wet and soiled nappies. Supervising children while at play outdoors. Supervising and lining up children to the bathroom to wash their hands before tea times, lunch and after outdoor play. Singing-along with children during read-aloud times. Assisting children while they are playing play-dough making sure they don't eat it. Putting away toys near end of the day at work.

Providing service and help for children ranged from ages 2 to 5, during school hours; from 9am till 4pm.
Preparing snacks and meals for the children as well as cleaning up afterwards.
Actively engaged amongst the children in age appropriate activities, ensuring they are safe in sight.
Enjoyable atmosphere, everyone is easy to get along with and very welcoming co-workers.
Learning the skills of easily providing the given service needed, and the preparation of being able to take care of young children and the gain skill of good communication.

This is one of the best work times ive ever had. The environment was friendly and relaxed and everyone smiled and made you feel welcome. I was 16 when I did work experience with them and then started working for them at 17.

This sector is such a rubbish families and management think that we are their slaves. We don’t have our own personal lives. They paying you thinking that they bought you. You are not an educator you are a cleaner.

I liked to work there in general, but the very limited resource is very difficult to run the program at a good quality. Good team member and work.

working with children makes it easier to deal with in the future, you share the same interests as them, the environment is a lot easier to just stay and be comfortable with

I worked here for years it was amazing loving and nurturing environment.
