I worked at Hilton for a couple of months until I quit without finding other employment due to my mental health being through the roof. 
I was hired as a food and beverage attendant and I will be honest, the facility was brilliant. I felt very fortunate to work with a wonderful view and product, but the culture and environment were traumatising. I was made to do completely different roles (bartending/room service/restaurant operations/events) without being paid and which were not in my job description. I was also asked to work crazy hours (3AM) and working 14 hours shifts because of poor staffing decisions by management. There is NO PARKING and if you do not live in the city and finished late there are no late trains to take you home so you either need to have someone pick you up, pay for an expensive UBER or rent a car bay which is so expensive. Finishing at late hours I was stalked my homeless people and chased by random individuals walking to my car and my life was put at risk numerous times with no support. I was also stalked with the hotel cameras by the hotel manager who met me in random corridors or approached me with weird questions. Stressful environment as short staffed and they make you responsible for a lot without pay.

Guest Service Agent / Receptionist role, the main duties are assisting arrival and departure process, provide excellent customer service, receiving outgoing and incoming phone calls and assist luggage delivery if necessary.
The hotel that i worked is a 4-star property, which i mentioned as above, basically it's more like a multitasking job.
Workplace culture is good, Hilton provide excellent benefit and good rules for the team member to follow the main standard providing flawless service.
There are 2 things about the job.
First , the enjoyable part is feel fun to meet people from all around the world, get interact and exchange the local culture and experienced different type of the guest.
Secondly, for the hardest part of the job is when we dealing with the complaint, Company and all the team members try their best to provide the excellent service. However, sometimes not all the guest happy and some are quite demanding, we need to tackle all the issue and complaint to make the guest happy which some of the guest understand, and some of them are not.
But overall, worked in the hospitality especially hotel industry are challenging but fun at the same time.

This venue was one i regret that i left to go on a 6 month holiday. 
The people the management the team in general were fantastic and i would recommend any one to go visit or even apply to work here. 

Career progression is available, and if you have the desire to move forward then this is the place where you will learn vital skills. 

and also your chance to work in any other Hilton around the world. 

Very comprehensive training, and there is always some one on site to assist you with any questions you may have.

was employed full time as a receptionist, never got a weekend off, was training on a computer for a week, with no extra support from staff or anyone. underpaid terribly, was getting £11 an hour, for very serious admin and reception job, where I could of been making double in an office. Was constantly abused my customers, with no support from managers or higher ups. 

Good place and good people to work with,really enjoyed my time,w are free to open up our opinion and to be heard,everything and all like benefits was good,we can have a flexible day offs,all the management  were excellent. Also good thing working in this company is you have a big chance to be able to improve yourself from being a member to become a leader.

Such a great opportunity for those that are lucky enough to acquire a position at DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne. Thorough training, great processes and an amazing team culture.

I loved DT Melbourne because of the work culture. The team are friendly, welcoming and there is a sense of "family". Great perks such as travel discounts, learning & development opportunities and free lunches. 

Long hours 
You can’t go home until every worker is finished 
You end up finishing at 6pm most days even when it says 3pm on your contract 
You clean about 20 rooms some days and expected to have them done by 2pm the latest 


Management was horrible, creating an atmosphere negative between coworkers. 60% of the managers resign after couple of months working with the new administrative and owner of the hotel in PGA.
