Management are rude and unorganised. HIGH staff turnover and zero accountability. Would work multiple 10hour shifts a week and was only given a 30min break. Girls at the front are LOVELY though. Got minimal training in dispensary from management. Would get told on shift that I’d have to stay back later hours most of the time.
PROFIT-FOCUSED, would ask everyone, including elder patients who would most likely reach safety net (free medication net) if they wanted multiple repeats (these don't apply to net thus they wouldn't be able to get free medication) and wouldn't alert them of it unless asked, truly disappointing behaviour and just straight lack of human empathy. Not worth it but it’s fun to talk about now I’ve left :)

A typical Saturday morning of work included getting to work early to clean the windows, I would then serve customers. When the shop was quiet I would walk around and fix the shelves and clean the shop. I learnt a lot about different types of medications. The managers were very lovely and knowledgeable. Everyone working there would get along really well and would help the people who needed it. The hardest part of the job was when I got asked about certain products. I wasn't trained to know about all the products, so the hardest part was telling the customer I didn't know and had to pass them to someone who knew more than me.

Customer service is the most important part of the job. Being happy toward the customers helps the day roll nicely. Management needs to be in touch with all gings on in the store. It is important to respect your work mates etc . When not busy. Being able to help customers out and seeing them leave happy with their purchases.

If you love customer service, this is a great job for you. Great to connect with customers and build relationships with regulars. Some difficult customers, but better than other retail jobs/hospo. Really good management at the store I work at, very kind and understanding. Fast-paced, sometimes tedious, but ultimately rewarding

The staff are mostly friendly and have met some great friends here!

Often understaffed and only get one unpaid half an hour breaks even for a ten and a half hour shift and no other breaks.
A lot of responsibilities that the manager can’t be bothered to do.
No real benefit unless you’re desperate for a job.


OT was long hours working there , but I was used to it as a community support worker . My leader pharmacy was very ethical , helpful and caring at the same time during the pandemic. By delivering medication and perceptions to Patients door steps. 

Profit-focused culture
Staff are not cherished or rewarded for their hard work. Always being monitored and commanded to do tasks with unrealistic expectations. Minimum wage but colleague are kind and helpful.

They have thought me how to write scripts, check orders, work as a cashier and stocktake. As I only worked there for a week due to work experience organised by my school in 2011, I wasn't paid for working there. Despite that I was still able to learn quite a number of skills which will be useful in the future.

Enjoyed most of the people I worked with but the bosses were abusive and I didn't feel like I could trust the company. They never tried to help you succeed instead they would help in your downfall. They would also tell you something was ok to do and then write you up for doing it.
