A typical day at work would include arriving before 9am for a de-brief and meeting to start the day. I would mostly be working on the tills, tidying stock, or helping customers. 

I learned excellent communication and sales skills as I had consistent success in opening store account cards. I got along well with my co-workers and management team. 

The hardest part of the job would have been ordering and looking up stock from other stores and the most enjoyable part of the job was being able to help customers find what they were looking for.

It was a very friendly place to work and ones my country manager retired I was made the interim country manager overlook the Sri Lankan office. but unfortunately, since the company was struggling in sales back in the UK, they finally decided to close the Sri Lanken office and i had to handle the layoffs and office closure. which was sad.

can be a friendly environment when communicating with other team members and other floors as the store maintains a one store approach among floors and staff
