A typical day within Curry's would normally start at 8.30. I would organise the daily filing and check any emails and missed phone calls from the call centre wanting me to get into contact with customers. I would ensure customers are contacted promptly, and any issues or concerns they are experiencing are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible, this could mean working and liaising with senior management about issues that may be out of my control to sort. I would work very closely with all management within Curry's, keeping a close eye on stock issues, customer complaints, profits and loss within the company and banking. 

I had great relationships with all staff, management and customers that came into store. I was always trying to help other staff members whenever needed, examples could be helping to diffused an angry customer and coming to a solution that works for them, helping show new starters how to work our systems and how to carry out credit applications, training and general support. 

 I was nominated for employer of the month and was given a thank you card from the area manager for great customer service. I take pride in ensuring my customer service is always at its best and do my upmost to ensure any issues with customers are managed as quickly as possible, this could mean ringing and speaking to other manufactures when problems with stock occur or if a repair is needed for a customers product. However, this was probably the most difficult part of the job as some manufactures were not very good at coming up with a  resolution for the customer or one that the customer was happy about.

Dixon's Carphone are a great retailer to work for if you enjoy a challenge in sales. Majority of customers are friendly, and more than willing to talk informally with colleagues in order to help the colleague build rapport. 

Chances for progression are quite limited within one branch, and if you feel you would like to take on a new challenge, it is recommended to relocate to another nearby store for a fresh start; moving from sales assistant to team leader can be hard when you started at the same level of whom you will be managing.

Management both in store and elsewhere in the company are very accommodating to staff requests within reason, and will guide staff to find the right path for themselves, be It sales, administrative roles, technician/repair roles or customer services.

it was alright due to the co workers but other than that it was a horrible stressful environment whereby you were hounded to meet sales targets and if you didn’t you would be threatened with being fired
