My typical day consisted of operating water cart, Dump truck and safety work which was made up of presentations and health and safety checks.
During my time I learnt a variety of tasks, just staring to get involved with the Icams and 5 ways.
The crew I worked with at Woodie were just great its was like a large family. We always done things as a team and always followed the work procedures correctly.
There was no real hard part of any job its what you make it. At woodie woodie it was very remote, isolated, no mobile reception and hot but I enjoyed every year that I was there, only reason I've left is because its gone into care and maintenance.

drilling in water logged sites. having to collar pipe many holes. to achieve daily targets.
management gave daily toolbox meetings, to point out various safety hazzards on site and what they would like to achieve that shift in the safest way
i worked with a shift of 5 drillers and 4 offsiders we all understood each other and got on well with no loss time injuries in the time i worked for cons min
the hardest part of the job was pushing pipe into six metre holes
 the most enjoyable would have been teaching offsiders to drill and progress to fill a vacancy, and become safe and efficient at work

12 Hour daily shifts - 7 days followed by 7 nights. Long hours but manageable if disincline. Reinforced skills in heavy vehicle operators and developed and acquired additional skills a long with solid understanding of working within mining environment.  Hardest part of the job is separation from family, made up by the forming of good co-worker relationships, both on and off the Job.

survey work included prism wall monitoring, establish control, aerial survey targets, pit design set out, ore block set out, pit pick up, eom calculation and reporting, production of pit maps, pick up and set out of services,drill and blast pattern design, pattern set out and pick up
good little mine at coobina with great people

Typical day was started with maintenance around camp
Learned Fly In Fly out as this was the first job in FIFO
Management was tough
Co-workers mostly kept to themselves
Hardest part of the job cleaning toilets
Most enjoyable when job done

I liked Woodie Woodie regardless but unfortunately Admin has no idea who you are and does not care about you. But the people i work with there great and that's what counts.

machines werent to bad camp is good,recreation facilities very good
management have a job to do so they pretty good too.

Very busy and well planned environment. Management good to deal with, always doing something different and always learning new things.

Woodie woodie is a awesome site, good equipment, food and the peaple are great, short flight from Perth, woodie airport is only 15mins from camp, I'll go back there again
