What is the best part of working at the company?
actual work is actually fun and good first job for me but one of the managers friends tried hitting on an underaged employee and occasionally i was underpaid

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
when its summer and boiling, people line up outside the doors and because its not the largest establishment it can get real crowded, real fast. when its winter you basically get paid to stand around though so yeah.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
the employees are respectful and fun to work with for the most part and the manager is basically the same

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
scoop ice cream, clean, replace ice cream, scoop more ice cream, repeat until closing.

as a Junior i would get 4/5 hour shifts, that start at 5. Maybe 30 customers come in the whole time, so while you wait your organising ice creams as well as cutting and storing any cookie doe or brownies things like that so that its easier for the next person. Closing in an hour was impossible with all the cleaning so you would leave at around 11:30 sometimes 12 but thats when there are last minute customers. after all that we get paid when the managers get around to it, they dont pay the right amount every time and they also change some hours you work such as 16.9 hrs to 16 so they dont have to pay that little extra. We would also get our schedules for the week on the Sunday of that week at 6pm meaning that if you have a Monday morning you had no chance to change it.

everyday i would get used to the workplace and work respectively beside my fellow employees and employers, cleaning was fun and interesting, so learning to use the right cleaning products. Always restocking the inventory,getting to know regular customers, being attentive and following basic instructions from the boss, always doing the task in time,learning all the basics, being safe and following work place and health and safety. It was a very enjoyable job, it was not hard and i had learned many skills and would be happy to tell you the rest.

On really hot days the store gets really packed and i'm always in charge of basically everything, from the til to cake orders. My co workers are alright some are great, some are not so great as they are still under experienced and quite slow and sloppy which leads to overtime shifts. I am quick when working under pressure but at the same time do a great job at whatever i am doing. The management is decent but they are giving less shifts to the older staff as they would have to pay them more due to the company being a small business. I have learnt so many things and have been given the experience when it comes to customer service.

The work itself is strenuous but simple. Fun work environment (with the children you will only work with). Management are money-hungry and give false promises. You will not climb any ladders here. Hardly any initial training, management over-hire and only give out 1 shift a week. Staff regally underpaid as owners are very unorganized. As soon as you turn 18 they cut your hours and eventually find a reason to let you go. 
I was fired within 1 days notice after I took a week off work sick, I supervised there for 4+ years. Management are lucky I didn't take it to Fair Work.

Cold rock was an amazing job, it provided me with many skills to move forward in my work career, some of these included; how to work in stressful conditions, how to handle food in a heathly way and how to service a customer is a nice, helpful way. 
the management of cold rock was excellent as the store was always filled with stock, was always clean and every was sanitised and safe. 
the hardest part of the job was during rush hours the shop was super busy and stressful work in, but this was also the most enjoyable part of this job due to I was learning so much and having so much fun.

A typical day at work is chilled out with friendly conversation. I learnt how to mix the ice cream correctly and the procedure to open and close the store. Management of the store and staff is excellent and I have never once had an issue with anything. The hardest part of the job is probably in the middle of winter when the ice cream can get rock hard. The most enjoyable part of the job is the friendly staff and sometimes a sneaky ice cream after a shift.

I love working at Cold Rock. I enjoy working with my colleges and get along really well with them all. Typically a summers day would be very hard work and would be none stop serving and cleaning, although in winter it does cool down and theres more time to clean the shop. There is no manager as such at Cole Rock Cronulla but senior staff. They are in charge if the boss is not there, i am one of them and find that it is a good challenge being a leader and having to communicate with others to have a smooth running shop.

A typical day of work consist of re-filling ice cream as well as keeping all tables cleaned. It is enjoyable day with my co-worker as we both work extremely well together as well as being able to play our own music being the most enjoyable part. The hardest part of the job is making the correct amount of ice cream as we try our hardest not to over serve. I learned how to better utilise my communication skills for customer service as well as building self-confidence.

I love working at Cold Rock, and can never see myself leaving!
This is my second job, and I absolutely love it. The pay is good, the benefits are good, the hours are good and the work environment is so friendly.
I can't say anything bad about it! The boss is so lovely, and the work is very independent so I often get shifts alone.
The training was good, but as I previously worked at McDonald's I was quite good at working, and knew what i had to do.
Overall its a great working environment.
