I work here as a summer temp on an 8 hour contract. I've had lots of overtime, which is a bonus, but it can be very tiring. Pay for a 16/17 year old is amazing too! I get on well with everyone except for one person, who i feel has favourites and always finds a way to find faults in my work. It doesn't help that the store manager walked out so we had to try and cover their hours throughout this past week, meaning I've had my rota changed and hours added. I learned how to do various things, like measuring feet, checking fits, finding things in the stockroom and the till system, and also about the products available. My store was very target-orientated and you seem to get a hard time if you don't reach it, even if it is unimaginably high. The managers need to be more organised, focus less on targets and more on holding a good relationship with staff.

•	Gained key customer service skills by assisting customers on a daily basis by advising and selling products to ensure the highest number of sales. 
•	Other responsibilities involved add on sales at tills, stock checks and ensuring the store is well merchandised and clean, which amplified my ability to balance such tasks, especially during peak times of the day

My main duties included serving customers, dealing with customer queries, working to set targets within the store, delivering a high standard of service at all times, re-stocking the shop floor, monitoring stock levels, liaising with staff on other departments & ensuring the shop floor was clean and tidy at all times. Also general admin duties

Good company to work for. Good atmosphere in the work place and nice people to work with. Has good organization and structure so you are aware of what needs to be done every day and gives you personal targets so you can manage your own performance.

A great job with some great people. As with any retail job it is often difficult to balance with personal life however this is down to the demand of the retail industry and not the company itself.

It’s a okay company. Very flexible. But cut hours quite a lot which makes it hard to make a consistent amount of money. Very easy work but not enough money hourly.

Was often stressful and management only seemed to care about sales targets. But the pay was decent and other staff were friendly on the whole. Good for a summer job between studies

Always happy, polite and helpful to the public and customers.
Can be difficult during busy hours.

It's a well run company with employees all feeling like family and everyone being comfortable with surroundings. There is no hardest part of the job. It is enjoyable throughout.

I have enjoyed my time at clarks, the work is easy and often fast paced. The management is lacking quite a lot in staffing and organisation of workers time.
