Team leaders are great, very supportive but it’s not much use when the big bosses keep making changes.  Cutting support staff, combining teams to have bigger teams.  No incentive to work harder as no bonus.  KPIs keep getting increased and stressful on mental health to keep up, especially with many resources cut.  They ask us to be self sufficient so not to have any team support officers anymore.

They don’t care for the employees.  It’s going from bad to worse. 

This is without doubt the worst company I ever worked for. 

There is a total disregard for the customer and no respect for staff or their work life balance.  Civica  manages their public persona as a company that cares very well, but this was not my experience. 

The local government sectors redundancy was around 20% a year driven purely for financial reasons. 

Overall it was very good experience for career start as a CSR in a very busy contact centre. It was a good experience as it was my very first job in Melbourne. Good to learn some local laws and their standard protocols well versed with inbound outbound calls etc. contact centre staff was very Co-operative and it was a good professional culture.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress, Stress and more Stress

Difficult to cope up with day to day demands of non ethical work practices. Director and management not flexible and open to new ideas. Director kicks out employees quickly. I had to resign due to maternal commitments, did not get severance package or compensation.

Management over the last couple of years has lost touch with staff and the difficulties they are facing with a vastly increased workload.
Quality of work is therefore suffering.
Hopefully this will be short term and once the pressure is lifted it will go back to an environment that was more open and friendly and a wonderful place to work

I don't have anything good to say about the civica, as I found it most horrible place I have ever worked for, with a horrible manager who just looked for excessive profit and  very heavy work load with no support and direction. 

I have had a nice journey working with civica. I've learnt a lot. There's no real mentorship as there was at NAB unless you're in higher management. It would be great to see a mentor program for employees

if you like change and meeting new people this is not for you
