As a student nurse, I was really nervous to be pair up with a Registered Nurse, because I was hoping they won't be mean or unwilling to help us. Though lucky enough I got really good nurses who were patient with me, helped and taught me to be a really good and effective nurse. The hardest part would most likely be bed-ridden patients, especially when you may be short staff and sometimes you may have to be on your own to help the patient go toilet on a bed-pan or to give them a wash. Yet the most enjoyable part once again is seeing the patient's happy and appreciated for our service and help. It really makes my day.

There are remarkable emergency training opportunities  for Junior doctors. 
you can easily develop your confidence in managing emergency medical conditions and enhance your clinical skills with bed side clinical procedures under the guidance of many emergency staff specialists .
Very good working culture and team work though it is a very busy hub .
Management and directives  are  excellent  to have good balance between life and work .


What is the best part of working at the company?
Support to JMOs by JMO unit is the best part.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Its a busy hospital. Usually gets busier after hours and on weekends. To cope up with emergencies and multitasking on weekends is a bit stressful.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Awesome, beautiful people to work with. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Mostly finishing on time and heading home

Over the past 3 years I have worked as Undergraduate Nurse( Assistant in Nursing). I met many patients with different diseases, needs and worked well with their  families and teams. My work was flexible as I picked the days I was available but hardest part of the casual job they do not offer holiday. I mostly enjoyed having fun with my patients on free time where I was playing group tennis, walking and drawing .

Working at this hospital was challenging and has made me more confident and hardworker as a part of the professional team.

The role involved a big responsibility  and critical decision making as it has added more value to my nursing experince.

Being a patient advocare and working my best in delivering the complete holistic care to patients  from different  medical backgrounds.

Campbelltown Hospital is an excellent workplace but very busy due to staff shortages.
The management are supportive where possible and encourage you to develop your skills.  If you are a new grad you would rotate to various ward, meeting skill sets with each rotation.
The hospital is quite lively and there is a social club for extra fun.

While New graduate nurses get some level of support, unfortunately due to lack of staff fresh graduates are expected to work and manage work load at the same pace as an experienced nurse! Had a very bad experience with Educator and some staffs in paediatric ward. 

The company was great and been close to home. Everyone was great and like a second family.we all were hard workers and worked as perfect team.
We celebrate everyone's birthday as buying a cake or every week someone bring something for everyone to share .

Very understaffed, stressful,not supported.
JMO work in after hours is like a prison sentence
Very little training provided.
Clinical skills don't count.
Only mechanical and repetitive investigations.
No appreciation of diagnostic aptitude
