Great people to work for and with, really nice and friendly environment to be in. Provided sufficient training that was necessary. The most enjoyable part of my job was looking after the residents and making them laugh, hearing their stories and just making them feel loved. Hardest part of the job is of course losing a resident especially if you have really bonded well with them. Typical day at work was do handovers then do a couple of showers and linen change before doing the breakfast for the residents then it was finish of the last few linen changes and assist with a few more showers, take back the breakfast trolley to the kitchen take my morning tea break then come back and assist residents with going to the toilet followed by taking them to their activity they have planned on the day. After their activities are over we then took them back to the dining area ready for lunch. Serving the lunches and assisting a few with their food, taking dirty dishes once they were finished and offering tea or coffee. Once lunch was over it was assisting with toileting again then the staff did required paperwork and depending on the shift (mine) it was time to go home.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I could not find good in any part it was very unprofessional in its approach towards staff and not a safe work environment 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
That the safety was not great and the trainees we're not being taught properly 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unprofessional not using enough mechanical aids to help in the workload

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not great rushed to do most things especially first thing in the morning which is not safe

I enjoy my day with each different client in a day . it is not only the work that i do but also the opportunity to learn from new clients . so far the management where i work is quite supportive to me  .I have sometimes come a cross with client which are quite difficult to handle ,but by my experience i am able to handle then with calmness. The most enjoyable part of my job is to put a smile into their face which i just enjoy.

I worked mostly weekends and evening shifts, I followed it hard as i don't speak Italian.
The staff didn't like outside people or non family members, it took me a while to again they respect and show them I was a hard worker.
The hards part of the job was having to work every weekend.
I enjoy working with the residents.

Another example of a less than desirable workplace.  No communication or teamwork, you are just a number.   There is no team, each out for their own benefit.  Staff turnover is HUGE, if you aren't walked out the door without a reason, the workplace is so awful you will walk yourself out.

As a relative of a,resident at Magill, I was infuriated that the junior manageress spread a blatant lie which divided my family, in response to my refusal to put up with her nonsense.

Also, not enough was done for my mother, who was immobile and left isolated for long periods, without adequate stimulation, which greatly contributed to her memory loss.

CCH was once a fantastic place to work under the leadership of previous CEOs.  New management don't seem to care about the employees, organisation processes or the history of the organisation. Disappointing to see all the good managers leave over the past 2 months (since August 2022).  The company no longer aligns with their own organisation values, nor my own.

Toxic work culture. High turnover in staff and management. Zero effort and help by management. Staff are treated poorly. Resident abuse overlooked. Incidents handled poorly

I enjoyed working with and assisting residents in their home
Variety of duties to keep me very busy in this sometimes hectic and fast paced role.
Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
Enjoyed my contract at Clayton Church Homes.

Very good organisation with cooperative staff. 
Learned Team management,Time management , Good Customer Service,Phone skills.
Improved multitasking skills, how to prioritized your tasks.
