There is no such thing as a typical day at CGU. Each day is different and brings out new skills you never thought you had. There are multiple job cues you work from and each have their own procedure which keeps your brain active and working hard. The management within this company is amazing! The branch manager and team mangers are very supportive of all employees and only want what is best for us. My co-workers are a great bunch of people. They are all friendly, welcoming and hardworking. We celebrate the good things in our co-workers' personal lives as well as accomplishments within the company. We support each other in every way possible.

Job opening was only for 6 months period from July 2009 to December 2009.

It was a busy day at work, I really enjoyed those days, it was a time management type of work.  

Not much could review regards workplace culture, due to only 6 months of contract job (leave vacancy).

Being new, some times I felt like very odd in the team.

I enjoyed my time at work.

This is a very busy and fast paced environment which is great however the constant need for change lately is becoming a little tiring.  We have had 5 re-structures all in a matter of two years with the latest 2 being within the last 6 months.

Other than that the benefits to working here are great.  They are now introducing work from home which is a fantastic development.

Great company, great salary, amazing culture. Sadly the job was outsourced to an Indian center so we work working for targets and KPIs that we knew would not be going toward our overall goals as we knew we are all going to be made redundant in a short time. Hense why the culture was amazing at the team

This was a great place to work up until the new management took over, the culture here is really low,  the company does not recognize employees with potential and politics play a great part for advancement opportunities.

I wouldn't be leaving if I wasn't being made redundant. I have had a fantastic 5 years with the company. Working a condensed working fortnight and 3 days a week from home. Great development and a really ethical culture

An inclusive culture that works towards building the skills of staff to achieve their very best. Opportunity to advance is a constant irrespective of the level at which you sit. Training is a main focus across the company.

the job was a challenged, which I enjoyed. the work colleagues were helpful when  needed. I learned a lot about insurance, while never being an underwriter I had multiple opportunities to become one if I wanted to.

I worked there as a Claims consultant and while the job got busy at times our team manage would always check in and give us breaks if need be. Regular one on ones and we’d get constructive feedback when needed. Awesome social club. Loved it. 

Work under pressure to achieve unrealistic expectations with inexperienced leaders.  Management don’t listen to staff feedback in culture surveys because nothing changes.
