A typical day at work is continuously supervising and coaching staff, approving transactions, problem solving for staff and patrons, managing staff and staff movements, meeting staff and patron demands and requests and delivering high level of customer service whilst adhering to company policy and procedures.
I have learned so much in this industry, including how to train, develop and assess staff, both external and internal, prioritise tasks and requests, meet deadlines, problem solving, computer programmes such as ATOM, SYCO, and word, sign  up new members in our 'rewards program' and general complex wide information.
I do not have a lot of direct contact  with upper management.  However I am in constant contact  with my immediate 'mid-managers' as I am myself a part time manager and often work at the same level.
I can't think of anything that's hard about my job other than having to work until 4-6am. 
The best part of my job is the people I work with. I have formed so many great relationships over the years and we regard our co-workers as "Family."   
I also thrive on making customers happy, and I get to do that every single shift.

Working with  A class team players, of whom are all customer focused and on brand at all times.

There was no stressful part to employment at Burswood / Crown casino.

The Casino culture is a very positive one.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day would start by greeting all team members and customers when they arrive at the Casino.

I enjoyed being on the other side of the fence so to speak. My clubbing days were over by this stage but I still really enjoyed the atmosphere so being able to work in the club and casino I felt was the perfect match. I had a great bunch of guys to work with and that made the job that much more enjoyable.
I got used to the shift work and weekend work really easily and it was good to have most of the week free to relax.

Burswood Casino Perth was always my dream to work at when I first came to Perth always bright lights amazing shows happy staff lots of smiles and the food was to die for and your uniform was always clean and ready for you always looked amazing.

its very nice to work in burswood because lots of people coming in and out of the complex. and even without a hospitality course or background in hotels and waitering. they hired me and trained me in the work.

I worked at Crown Casino for about a year as a part of Hospitality Certificate three that i was doing with Mint Institute. I did Service of Alcohol as well.

I enjoyed working in this fast paced environment. Having a diverse range of duties meant balancing customer service with technical considerations, leading to a refinement of both skills

great place for work experience, kitchen duties on a daily basis, chopping, prepping, and storing foo. cleaning duties. hardest part of the job was getting to work without own transport
