What is the best part of working at the company?
Great management, excellent working conditions, best fleet of buses to drive, excellent backup when things go wrong.  Very good pay and generally outperforms every other job I've ever had, so much so that I worked 20 years with them and would again.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There wasn't.  Yes you did get the odd upset customer but handled correctly or learned to ignore bad behaviour and if that behaviour got out of control then back up was only 1 push of a button on your radio.  Some have asked me if traffic was stressful, absolutely not as you are paid to drive and traffic was part of your day, my chance to relax.  Some say, what about complaints, if you do your job with passion you won't get any complaints and in fact I received 100s of commendations.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Patience, attention to detail, drive defensively, hydrate, enjoy your day and especially the people you carry.  Be safe.  Turn up for your shift.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Signing in, you are allocated your bus, did a safety check both inside and outside your bus.  Set yourself comfortably adjusting your seat and setting up your money tray and signing on to your computer.  You then complete your shift meeting timing points, never reaching these timing points early.  Return to depot, sign out and do 1 final check for lost property which is also done after each run,count out your float and put your takings into a special money counter, sign off.  On the very odd occasion you might have to defect a bus and if you do run late getting into depot you are always given overtime.

split shift makes a long day,I have been able to do a certificate 3 in transport and logistic and have a learnt a lot about customer service health and safety, time management etc.
management is great but there is room for improvement in some areas of the systems. 
we couldn't ask to work with a better group of people with such a large work force in the depot and wide range of shift, all are very friendly
the frist 6 months 
going to work and having your own air condition office, the people you meet. 

I was a casual employed bus operator which gave me a flexible job. 
I will say that my overall experience was of great satisfaction. From what others have said, that i was the most well respected driver at the depot, which made me very happy. I also decorated christmas buses and would win money prizes and donate to the cancer kids society. I have just recently planned my own workers reunion in brisbane 2013 and this gave a chance for past and present drivers to get back together.  I felt it was time for me to give something back to the depot and thank them for letting me part of their bus family for 6 years. 

Wonderful days, excellent and rewarding .

A typical work goes like this:
sign on for your day roster. pick up your assigned bus & off I go to my starting route point. End of my shift, hand in day collection & sign off.
What I learned : compassion for other people from all works of life.
Management: open door policy meaning you can discuss anything with management at any time.
Co-workers: a diverse range of personalities from a diverse group of people. friendly atmosphere.
hardest part: the early stage on the job....the learning stage.
enjoyable part:  you are your own boss of the "bus"

Depending on what shift you do, sometimes hours can be long, but you are rewarded well for extra hours worked.
First 18 months are tough, but after that the work becomes 2nd nature.
Learnt a lot about dealing with the public: friendliness & respect will go a long way, & make the job more enjoyable.
Fellow workers were good company, making lunch time something to look forward to.
Drive a turbo charged V6 & pick up nice people for a living!

this business is a great place to work very friendly the people are great ever need to know anything some one is always there to help I love working here but on the other hand I'm very interested in being a train driver and ever since it was on the news about lack of drivers it gave me the little push I needed to follow my dream position as a train operator.im happy go lucky person that can talk the donkey of anyone haha I cant wait to complete the driver training as being a train operator or guard operator to gain my desired job.

Route work,  School Charters, Corporate Charters as required on th
at shift. Mainly 8-11 hour days with breaks as required by law.

To make your workday as stress free as possible by your personality and actions.

Very Efficient and helpful. Complete Backup if any Trouble.

Typical bunch of Blokes from many cultures and professional.

Dealing with the Drug induced passengers on late night shifts.

Meeting with People and workmates who enjoy life.

Enjoyable work but very much underpaid considering the physical and mental abuse suffered by drivers on a day to day basis

The job is disciplined in customer service and reliability as well as constant network improvements. Long term planning is also highly important with changes in the city structure and population growth.

Generally a very good place to work.  Staff who worked independently and reliably seemed quite content in the job.  Any negative issues were usually solved quite quickly when they arose. Enjoyed my time there.  Would be happy to return.
