My opinions are just that, my opinions. They are not a reflection on the company as a whole, and are limited to only one branch. I don't know what the environment was like at interstate branches. I am not a disgruntled employee, as I worked for them for over 12 years and loved every minute of my time there, only having issue with management when an old team were made redundant, and a new team was installed. Review is for the Tullamarine branch only, not for the entire company. 
New management team love to micro manage.
I did not experience my team managers listen to concerns regarding safety, nor answer questions clearly. They preferred band aide mentality, until serious issues potentially resolve themselves. Nothing done was good enough for them.
In my opinion, the branch has a bullying / intimidation problem, with some managers preferring to threaten some workers with their jobs.
Some managers try to weed out employees who do not fit their mold, instead of providing adequate training and support for them..

Too many things to say, but overall would not recommend this branch as a good potential employer at this time, unless you are prepared to say "Yes sir. How high would you like me to jump? OK, yes sir"
My review is based on personal experience of some managers I was answerable to.
I wish the owners of the company well, and hopefully the same medicine will be tasted by some of those managers.

I was a subcontractor for border doing a local run then had sell my truck and became company driver.
I will be honest .
Good company to work for 
floor staff are amazing and go out of there way to help you load and unload.
Real team players .
Good culture and everyone just about gets along.
Management are very understanding and if you show a positive attitude they will treat you well.

Concentrating on the performance of the operational department, looking for improvement and implementing change. 
Learn a lot, there's a number of very experienced personnel to learn from, with many ways to grow and improve skills as well as learn new skills and expand knowledge.
Some days are tough, it's the nature of the business - in saying that, we always get the job done.
The company will look to advance you and aid your interests and choices where possible.

My days are always full and there is never a dull moment 
My Manager is excellent 
My Co workers are great and make work a more enjoyable environment
The hardest/frustrating part of my current role is trying to find the time to be Pro-active - extremely busy short staffed and we have to be re-active each day
I thoroughly enjoy knowing we have done a good job and that all suppliers are paid on time each month - Statements always reconciled - No balances are left  without  being investigated

Fun workplace, good management. Can be stressful due to the high volume of deliveries. Workers are underpaid. Long hours involved. it’s only a fun place because of the people you are with in the warehouse and the people you meet, and deliveries ain’t the greatest being most are heavy boxes and hard to find locations 

Enjoyed working their but due to Border moving from Milperra to Wetherill Park and as I do not have a driver's licence I had trouble getting their from East Hills.
I also have a learning disability - have some problems reading and writing but this did not affect my ability to do my job as I was given assistance if I needed it.
Transport issues was the only reason I left Border Express after 11 years.

Bosses were unreasonable and had ridiculous expectations They were more interested in themselves & dishing out orders esp. the higher up the chain of command and certainly refused to take no responsibility when they were wrong rather lump blame back onto you as employee Do not expect to be treated right or fairly

a typical day at work consists of unloading and loading interstate freight.what ive learnt is to load and unload freight in quick time.management is very strict and fair and my co workers are good to work with. the hardest part of the job is to make sure that the freight gets out on time.the most enjoyable part of my job is satisfaction that the freight arrives interstate on time

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture was awful. Blame always put on the staff no thought or empathy for its worker

Brisbane branch very bad management cause afternoon management treat there workers like slaves and very bad people skills. And they wonder why they look for new workers every few months and for a company that has a very good core values it's not represented very well by   there management.
