Learned a lot about parts of the pig and what is used for different things when cooked and raw , Where does the product go, Makes sure its what the customer wants. Most of the co-workers were easy to talk to and get along with and had good team work skills, Enjoyed working in the offal more than the slaughter floor because in offal I could walk around more and do more jobs, The slaughter floor is the place I least liked because I was stuck in 1 spot all day but I liked it only because there were more people to talk to, Packing room I enjoyed the most the people in the packing room are very nice and also work fast paced I liked that the most.

Long hours are good for overtime pay but doesn't happen often, sometimes everyone starts late- due to brake downs, timing is strictly demanding on 10 minit brakes, industry doesn't care enough about the health and safety of workers, I almost lost my fingers trying help someone put the grip floor down, slippery surfaces due to metal steps- on kills floor, I was given a written warning for not finishing my work while everyone else left so I threw it out of feeling like i wasn't being treated fairly at all, they made me stay and work just because I was falling behind when I had just learned how to do the job. 

I enjoyed the 6am start,  After a while I got used to  the routines of setting up and what bags go with  which product. We would have smoko and Lunch breaks obviously,   but it was good to  help maintain  the  High  Hygiene and Quality standards  which the company  required.
                    The  new tasks took a  while to learn , but I hung in there and felt really good when  I got used to it.

RDO every week not too bad hours

There is a big Lack of communication

Very good and easy to make new friends

Long, tried sometimes stressful

The team environment is great , start and finish times are good hours most days, great trainers in the company and very helpful team members , lunch rooms are nice areas, and smoking areas are usually tidy, there is more than enough parking space .

Great team effort work everyone always helps one another and your shift is over before you know it as time fly’s whilst loading and unloading the trucks

everrything is fine, i've learned a lot of experiences, the management is good sometimes, my co-workers are very nice its more fun with them, the hardest part of the job long hour, i'm very much enjoyed my jobs and with my co-workers.

great place to work. the people where friendly. it was fast pasted work and very challenging at times. good work hours. learning all pig tatoos and grades was probably the hardest part of my job.

Hard work in cold environmental. Four day rosters very long days. Pay rates were good. No work on weekends and public holidays. Wide variety of cultures employed

For a meat industry labour job it was about what you expected maybe a bit above average, the supervisors in general were good and you were never asked to do more than you could manage
