A typical day at bevchain involves a daily toolbox at the commencement of the shift. Issues are flagged, concerns are raised and then you get into the day's picks. 

As a part-picker, bevchain management are just awful to deal with. From Somerton to Laverton I witnessed the revolving door. KPI's for picking alcohol without incidence are 'unrealistically high'. 

The higher then average hourly rate comes with a 'hyper authoritarian', hyper surveillancing, arrogant, facetious and gaslighting management. 

I was dismissed when communicating pitfalls with their voice picking system. They expect complete accuracy when the system is flawed. Picking errors are dealt with complete dismissal. 

Training opportunities come with 'likeability', not necessarily on performance. I really feel there is a huge division in their company culture, with their routers reaping all the benefits of recognition, skill development and job stability. Whilst if you were a driver or picker on the floor, your reward for hard work meant you could return for work the next day

I worked for them for 8 months, I never got offered full time, when I asked for it I was told I hadn't been offered due to lack of performance and the site moving. I wouldn't recommend bevchain to a friend or colleague.

 I did so much overtime for them, 12 hour shifts on an afternoon cycle 5 nights a week, but when I had a couple picking errors that trumped all of that effort apparently, really disappointing experience. 

Bevchain are good if you want to earn some cash quickly, bevchain are not good  if you want these workplace benefits: 

Cultivating a sense of 'belonging',
Career 'growth and development'.
'Work/life balance'.
'Workplace safety and long term sustainability'. 
Recognition of abilities and achievement. 




There safety messages on notice boards on many locations, but it seems very little practice on what they actually do on the workflow. I am a very concern for my safety and others who are doing the right thing by observing strict and safe driving rules while working around some very reckless forklift drivers driving around like they on steroids. 
These drivers are very confident in their driving skills, but I see many safety breaches happening every day, and I am worried that some big accident is just waiting to happen. 

Below is a list detail of safety breaches
Forklift drivers don't always drive on the left side. Sometimes they just popped up on your lane in the corner.
Not using the forklift horns on blind corners and its worse when they rocked up on the wrong path.
Driving forklift with earphones is a huge safety risk.
Forklift drivers were racing side by side to pick up their pallets at three meters high in a two tight lane with only a couple inches apart.
Forklift drivers were racing outside to stack their load at three meters high in a two tight lane with a couple of inches apart.
There is no proper loading zone allocated. Stacking of pallets outside and loading of trucks sometimes occur at the same location at the same time, which breaches the safety rules.

A typical afternoon (2pm start) would be signing out equipment, bulk picking for the first two hours before the rest of the team started.
4 0'clock toolbox, from the toolbox work duties would vary from put-aways, bulk picking, replenishment, truck loading/unloading then later in the night would finish with part picking, i.e case & bottle picks.
I learned a different type of RF system to other places i've worked, at Bevchain we used paperless system & drive-in racking.
Co-workers were easy to get along with, always willing to help & made it a good place to work.
The hardest part of the job would of been the long 12 hour days that were very common.
I enjoyed all aspects of my job.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The drivers were very supportive and I really liked the work

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management and senior management were horrible to deal with.  The transport manager was a complete jerk 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
One word toxic! It not only affects your mental health but your home life too 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy to begin with then pretty quiet for the rest of the day, any issues with trucks was always a problem and would throw the day out

A typical day mainly consists of some pick & pack for customer orders, on electric pallet runners.
Recieval & despatch of alcohol products. 
All products arrive in bulk form, on chep pallets & are then stored in bulk lane & rack locations, using LF gas & electric high reach forklifts. 
The management teams vary, in a number of different locations & warehouses, but are all very friendly & focused people.
The people you work with on the warehouse floor, in all location, are all very friendly & experienced operators.
The job itself is not very hard & all aspects are very easy to learn.

Bunch of ogdays the day before I was supposed to go permanent they told me I was being stood down over an accusation that never ever ended up coming to light what has come to light and they finally admitted they were in the wrong but no apology for the 9months they barred me from getting employment elsewhere for the time being no back pay no compensation no uckfays and most of all no consideration for any family’s I wouldn’t even recommend this job to my worst enemy.

I take pride in my job and it’s always nice to see the smiling, sometimes relieved faces of those awaiting a package. For every happy customer who has a pleasant exchange with me and receives his items on time, there are three more people he tells. That’s three more people who will go on to tell their friends of their positive experiences with us and so on and so forth. 

I believe that if every employee treated their job as respectfully as I do and had as positive a record, this company would beat out the competition by a mile every single quarter.

Trucks don't fit docks  Linfox  should better know

Poor management  there do know that trucks don't fit docks just send the load 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Waiting around too be loaded 4hrs wait

Management was Very poor too put it short, across 3 shifts no supervisor cared what happened or didn'thappen as it was someone else"s problem. No idea/ solution put forward was taken serious.

One of many Big companies I have worked for that dont care about progressing

They make you work 14 hours a day on top of that the transport manager treats people like rubbish.  They go thru drivers like socks and undies because of the way the drivers are being pressured and pushed to do impossibles in a day… please if you love yourself and respect yourself DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOOOOTTT GET A JOB WITH BEVCHAIN
