Worked in the company close to eight months now.  Started off well with the management and rostering and office being helpful.  Sadly, as I got to know clients, many confided me the Macquarie Park office is a sham.  Lies have been surfacing, actual client compassion and care are fabricational and services paid by the clients are not top priority by the rostering team.
I was enforced to do a particular role at a premise I hadn't signed up for.  With much invitation I was taken off it eventually but penalised as I went against management wishes.  Since then my shifts have been affected.  The dishonesty however, is unforgivable.
I had a regular client for shopping, service was fortnightly and in the morning.  Office rostered the service to the client in the afternoon (against client wishes), client calls me to see if I can assist in sorting that out.  Tried to get hold of rostering regarding it for eight hours with no response.  Received message at 6:30am by rostering informing client had cancelled service for the day.  Second client into my shift, client calls me to see if I was doing the service that day.  When mentioned of the message I received from the office, the client said they had never contacted the client.  In short, office cancelled service without informing the client.  
One of many underhanded, expweriences I have come across.  Resigning first presentable opportunity for a more honest and rewarding company who value their clients.

The job was important for providing care for the resident and other workers. However there was often too much work with too few workers to complete the work to high statndards. This caused high levels of stress with accidents occurring due to work being done by reduced numbers of workers and insufficient time. Workers were often unfairly blamed by managers.This was especially so with the oncoming inquiry into Aged Care: the management wanted to blame workers rather than take the blame themselves.The company needed to provide more money to employ more workers. The best part of the work was caring and providing time with the residents and time with workers who were cooperative.

A day at work would be getting your clients ready for work, school, medical visits or family visits. Hardest part, kids with challenging behaviours but love seeing them reach their potential. Administration is always ongoing but a crucial part of the job. The culture of the workplace is somewhat relaxed but can be stressful when lack of communication happens, need to be honest and have good integrity.
Make sure you stay within your capabilities too!

I enjoy my employment dealing with people of all levls of disabilities and illnesses. I has given me a clearer understanding of their adls.
I mostly work idependantly although other times im with other co workers,Of late new staff have been employed ,I mentor the newer staff.enjoyable part of my job is that I know I have changed someones day.Challenge clients to different ways to get around to make their lives different. I like to motivate my clients.

A typical day at work varies on which area I work in. I work in the general nursing home, hostel area and Memory care unit. 
I care for anywhere between 10-25 residents at one time. Each with varying levels of care from 1x assist with ADL's to 2x assist with the use of stand or sling lifters. 

Management has been very supportive and accommodating.  with my demands in relation to studying my bachelor of nursing degree.

For the most part majority of the staff are friendly and have a team spirit about them! Management on the other hand look down on you and do not treat you as equals and do not contribute to the team environment. There is no appreciation for hard work, there is nothing uplifting about the environment and often management bully the staff and make them feel stressed! They do not follow the values the Bapticare promote!

Thinking back about working in Carnity Baptist Care, was a good challenge, I manage to developed my skills communicating with residents. Its a lovely place to work. Good Staff always there to help when you needed it, I have a great Manager very supportive and many ways.Very easy to talk to when it comes to important matters related about work changes.

Management is approachable but make life difficult for advancement into higher position work roles.  All staff members are friendly and helpful.  Work can get overloaded due to staff on-leave and sick leave covers.
Training provided for workers roles is excellent.  Care Service Employee roles are very rewarding but can be demanding at times and do require patience and understanding.

I have enjoyed being in these people's lives & have really enjoyed the experience , I'm happy to of helped with everyday living & to of learned of there past & present lives, it's amazing how much the world has changed for them & to be  dependant  on other people would be the hardest thing on anyone. I was & am happy to of met them & been in there lives to help & support them.
