BI-LO

BiLo is a Coles Mayer’s Group company I was working there on cash register as a part time employee .My work experience with them was fantastic work environment was absolutely ethical  and appropriate facilities provided to the employees were top grade which includes  workers discount card it  applies to all Coles Mayer’s group stores .All  co-workers were friendly and courteous .They always had enough casuals never short of staff . Customers were given top priority throughout my career with them I haven’t seen unsatisfied customer .Weekly Brochures were always available for the customers at the front desk. Dead  stock was cleared as soon as possible discounted groceries were marked properly . All the registers were well presented ,shoot system was available at the register for the safety of employees . Shelves were stacked properly and stock was always up to date . Cigarettes were locked in the shutter and never given to minors .  Procedures  and policies we're always clearly displayed . During my career with them I have done multiple shifts which includes late night closings  security guard was always provided to the employees who escorts  them to the car park  . My roster manager was Sandra she was very considerate and always try to make rosters  where employees can balance work and family . We celebrated our festive seasons together did Kris  Kringle ,employees were treated as family  My store Manger was Con he was very friendly and reachable . My stay with that company is memorable and would join them  again  if find an opportunity . 

Worked in all areas , learning about products , food handling customer service , customer interaction , people skills , money skills ,stock ordering , stock filling, nightfill and basic office skills and team work.
in my time there made many friends learned many skills and work ethics and really enjoyed working with others

managing cashier change
money counting skills / banking
applying and managing work rosters
customer service
people skills

training new staff

Day involves quality checking of products, refilling of stock, inventory checking, ticketing of products.
I've learnt to identify different types of products, create stock orders, operate machinery applicable to the job, and to control stock waste numbers.
Management is fair, friendly, and willing to help out when needed.
Co-workers are excellent. Comradery is high, and everybody is willing to help out each other if needed.
The hardest part of the job is estimating how sales are going to be made through different placements of products.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the satisfaction received at the end of a shift when the department has done a great day's trade.

A typical day at works includes serving customers and helping with all their needs. Handling money, helping in the other stores departments and connecting with the customers on a personal basis in general. I've learned how to handle stressful, tough situations professionally. The management and all employees there are amazing people. Helpful with anything needed, no question was a dumb question. Couldn't pinpoint the hardest part of my job, it really isn't hard at all. I enjoyed going into work everyday. The customers, my other work colleagues, the environment, everything was enjoyable!

What I enjoyed mostly with BI-LO was the how friendly staff were, especially for new employees. It showed how the retail valued their people and did whatever possible to protect them. During my time there, I really had fun and loved working there because while I was there, I also made great friendship many people I worked with and we still stayed in contact until to this today. The hardest part of the job but also more enjoyable, was dealing with unsatisfied customers. It was quite challenging but we worked together as a cohesive team to solve all issues at reasonable time frame.

Working at the front end involves greeting and assisting customers anyway possible through inquires over the phone or showing customers where products are in store, putting products through register, handling money. Stocking products and clean also comes part of your day . If you enjoy working and helping people with a smile on your face this is a good place to work. Overall it is a friendly and enjoyable place to work.

My experience with BI-LO was good. I learnt to work in the register, deli assistant, stock count, customer service and bakery assistant.
The co-workers and manager were very nice and was a good workplace environment.
The hardest part of the job was working independently and fast when there was not enough staff available.
The most enjoyable part of the job was that it was a very productive.

I met some really friendly people in both the staff and the customer's I came into contact with, I learnt so much from the staff ( for example I learnt how to tell the difference with the fruit and vegetables )

Very fast paced day, learning all the aspects of management,co-workers a pleasure to work with,we would have fun and making sure our job was done also. The hardest part of the job was nothing really if you kept your self together the day would go pretty smoothly. The most enjoyable part was interacting with the customers it was a pleasure talking and meeting new people.

We had to move as my husband was posted so had to leave my much-loved job.  Would love to do it all again.  They are a great company to work for and a terrific group of people normally - I loved interacting with people on both sides of the counter and learning how to use the equipment - slicers, oven etc. It was so interesting.
