It was a perfect start for an apprentice in 2019 but the non-existing company culture takes its toll and new apprentices find it hard to progress. Good tradesmen leave the company therefore apprentices don't get proper training.  Bullying is a huge problem on the floor which causes a very uncomfortable atmosphere. The project manager keeps telling employees if someone doesn`t like the way things go, they can leave as he can replace them in no time. This obsolete leadership type doesn`t work in 2021 and makes employees feel that they are not important. Management can`t create a modern stocktake and ordering system which causes chaos for every job. Working hours are good, but management makes employees sign a dodgy contract which allows them not to pay penalty rates for overtime and weekend work. 

Though it can be a fast paced environment, dependent on your role, everything could be structured to your pace assuming you manage your time efficiently, this would apply at any workplace.

Management will provide you with knowledge about AS3000, AS61439 and supply authority metering rules/service installation rules for all over Australia, which is also taught inadvertently through your works if the individual cares to understand the application.

Workplace culture is diverse and relaxed.

Hardest part of the job is investing time on new members, who later figure out they are not suitable for the role.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the job itself (assuming you know what you applied for) and ofcourse the colleagues in the workplace.

a typical day at work is, you get your target for a job that is very fair and get into it. management is always very helpful if help is needed and understanding when things do go wrong.Through out my time i have learnt everything to do with my trade and more, most of the machines are top of the line and great to work with.The work place culture is great we all get along , most of the time everyone is happy. I would say the hardest part of the job is when the heat hits in summer. The most enjoyable part is working with all the team and looking at my job as a final product.overall same as any place you do the right thing no worries, if you want to talk all the time and get behind on work then of course your going to be told off.

A typical day consisted of non stop work with very small breaks to split the day. Little to no effort is made when it comes to teaching staff/apprentices. Most senior staff members and electrical supervisors have very little knowledge of AS/NZ standards. Workplace culture is non existence as you will be told off for talking. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the directors of the company as they micro manage everything and can be borderline bipolar at times and always trying to save cents but not dollars. Apart from that the group of guys and girls that work there are very approachable and are always willing to catch up outside of work.

Whilst i have read a few of the negative reviews from former employees, may i add there is always 2 sides to a coin.

With more than 50% of the staff with tenures of 5-10+ years, watching the continual growth of the company, the diverse backgrounds/walks of life of employees employed here, makes it feel like more than just work, very much serene.

This company is most definitely equal opportunity, willing to provide you with an opportunity to create a career for yourself, though like anything, it is a 2 way street.

This is a great company that takes care of its people. For the first time, I feel like I am in the right place and all hard work has paid off. The team I had is lovable, fun, creative and collaborative. Also, I've learned many things that enhanced my skills and provided me with an opportunity to obtain new ones.

This company has gradually declined over the years. Many of the large clients have bailed and so has management. They micro manage to the point of making people quit. You’re not hired for your skill, you’re hired as a labourer no matter how skilled you are.

Worked at Aussie for a long time and benefitted a huge amount of knowledge was a wonderful experience and would go back at the drop of a hat  given the opportunity
