Friendly Co-workers to help you out,  Management can be quite strict when looking at Pick rate performance as all they see are data numbers. Pick rate is determine on the amount of items you have picked and it doesn't matter if it is big or small. If performed poorly at the start it can be impossible to improve even when you pushed your body to the limit afterwards. The company always tells you to prioritize safety however safety gets thrown away when you have to meet performance standard. Break time also gets tracked. Management tells us to report to them if mistake are made however, I have never seen anyone do that due to risking their KPI  Although there are bonus payment if you go above and beyond the KPI, its not worth it as the bonus payment can be insignificant.  Due to being pushed and overworked my body joints have degraded overtime. The benefits they provide are very insignificant as well since the discount you get are typically in the 1% to 10% off in major stores. Due to staff shortage they will always call you on your days off to see if you can fulfil those days. Some of the Task can be overwhelming  as it is all computer picked such as over 230 items on a single pallet. 

I was kept very busy which I thoroughly enjoyed I also had learnt numerous roles so I was multi tasking. One day to another was not the same.
I learnt how to prioritise my day so that my work was completed.
I was learning all about pallet dockets, inloading paperwork from truck deliveries into WMS, completing KPI's, running reports for management and collating paperwork and checking off drivers run sheets.
I worked with both men and women and there was so much respect for one another, if any employee was having a crisis or a family member had passed away we would have a fundraiser and donate that money to the family.

There was no real hard part of the job and the most enjoyable was that I started early and finished early, but also stayed back to finish work when required.

Have been busting my butt off for the last decade and have asked for career progression, have been on trial as a team leader but nothing. Poor management, no one is honest with you, people just talk around the warehouse without approaching you first and addressing the issues at hand. I would not recommend anyone take up employment with Americold. They treat you like a number and everything is on a personal basis. They change managers like they change clothes, because no one wants to manage an unprofessional group of people. The only good thing about Americold is they pay rate, THATS ALL. Work culture is shocking. No thank you from anyone. No Easter or Christmas gifts/thank you handouts to the workers. Half the staff cheat on their partners with others in the work place. Nothing but a bunch of dishonest males with the typical alpha male syndrome.

There’s not really anything to look forward to going to work with this company the managers are very toxic and  belittle employees

The management are horrible and never support staff when needed, they chastise every decision you bring forward after asking for support which makes you second guess your every decision

Americold is very toxic workplace some staff are helpful but others gang up on you making you feel like you’re all alone

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Looking over your shoulder no support work harder who cares if you get injured the equipment doesn’t work but do your job fasert and if there’s an ammonia leak take a break in your time

You drive the ride on Electric Pallet Jack and use voice picking to pick products. Your day consists of picking items ranging from small boxes to big 20kg boxes. The pick rate is 3 boxes per minute. It doesn't matter the size, the quantity, or the distance between the items.

Because the management are very heavily numbers focused, if you receive a small task, you must work harder to get your KPI up. Safety is NOT number one in the warehouse but performance is. Staff turn around is huge and your days off will be split and not together. Six days work is a minimum and you are expected to clock in 15 minutes before you start time.

Overtime and permanent hours, hard working people easy to be upskilled with the right attitude

KPI’s, unrealistic demands, cold storage, can get dirty sometimes

Great work ethic with some of the old school employees

All rounder, start off driving then put sways and replenishments

Horrible place to work at. Do not care about personal or family lives

Constant pressure to meet minimum targets. No reward for effort unless you’re close to someone within management

Worst culture I’ve ever experienced

Waking up trying to be positive but it’s like you walk in the door and there is a negative aura around you

This job is for you if you're willing to put in the hard work and doing so you'll receive a very attractive Pay each week.
Although the hard work is worth the pay im not sure its worth the team environment. 
On many occasions co workers will gossip and put down others with no action from management or supervisors. on other occasions Management were inviting coworkers for nights out or offering to bring us alcohol or would say questionable things to co workers.

Very unprofessional work environment but great pay.

A fast paced environment and a lot of things to learn. However there is a certain place you can get up to with learning within the warehouse. So not much of a variety. Cultural within the workplace is a loveable environment, everyone is like family and you'll never see a single person left out. There really isn't anything to dislike about it. Everyone is there to do a job, put in your 100 or go home.

The Murrarie supplies all Qld. But You will get paid half of what Sydney workers get. Is not a bad money but is alot less. You will have to work in the freezer. Long hours and High targets. The company  Constantly reviews your performance. if you can't  reach your targets you are out. 
The Union it was chosen by the company. And is not very honest with the employees. 
This jobs isn't for anyone.
