I usually start my work at 6:30 am, collaboratively plan my day, and make sure that the most urgent work gets done first“. i learn a lot from this workplace  to deal with different types of customers like learned to solve  customers problem in real time and can give them a good manner with respects, not giving them attitude. Eg harsh response to customers.  APCO is a 24 hour business, flexible with the hours of work and it is essential that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and nights.
Most enjoyable part of the job is going above and beyond the customers expectations. Making their problem your problem and helping to solve it.

APCO is a family operated business of fuel, with having 28 store all over Victoria. I have started working for this firm in early 2017 as a customer representative. Later on, the store where I was working went into re-construction process and because of that I got an opportunity working for APCO's head office.

The work place culture at the head office is very pleasant surrounded with very lovely and kind people. 


As the company doesn't deals with major construction business I am looking for something which can help me build my construction career as am a professional quantity surveyor.

Always busy time goes fast ,great management

 Can be very busy so keeping up with making food and coffee can be challenging

We have many different personalities who all work together well and support each other 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Making coffee ,customer service ,stock ordering, cooking food ,cleaning ,shelf stocking , doing food prep

Every location is independently owned. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Putting up with lazy people who will dodge work. The motto of most staff was not my job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Leadership starts at the top, so the staff learnt from the trainers and taught them some good things and alot of bad things.  Drinking whilst serving someone,  serving people who jump the que.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I could do what I liked and was on top of most things.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Got to learn how to work all alone, & learn how to handle situations on your own. Was natural to learn how to work under a lot of pressure.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working there alone serving customers while cooking food & customers walking around the store.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic to work for, no bad businesses only bad bosses.

110% go all the time, doing every role

Worst workplace ever . Never seen such a big staff turn over once the new owner took over. Horrible man belittled staff treated some like dirt and all the pretty young girls like Stars. Was Inappropriate to some female staff members. Can’t handle confrontation or managing anything other than his money. 

At first I really enjoyed the opportunity to be able to work with this store, however after doing the same mundane tasks every shift, the appeal began to wear off, especially when it came to cleaning the toilets. The pay was also bare minimum because they threw me onto a part-time contract that only offered 7 hours one week and 3 the other.

i love working here becuase the staff is really friendly and ongoing. also the manager is very cooperatiove and understanding. the best thing about this store is that its really busy and its enjoyable to work in fast pasced environment.

Overall this job isn't too bad. you have to keep checking the registrations of the cars to avoid fuel drive offs and have to be good enough to make good coffee in a fast paced environment.

- Standing on the till serving customers whilst trying to keep up with other jobs that need to be done around the shop, can be quite stressful on busy days.
