We are seeking exceptional candidates to join our dynamic kitchen brigade and
currently have an opportunity to join as

Part Time Cook

in our

Pastry
Kitchen

.

This is a highly rewarding role offering you the opportunity to work with
industry professionals and an amazing product.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair,
with a sense of urgency and within the cost margins

Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage and follow
stock control procedures

Prepare and ensure availability of mis en place as required

Keep all working areas clean and tidy and show understanding
of kitchen systems and procedures

Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and
cleaned. Report any problems to the Executive Chef and department head
chef

Assist section Chefs with menu preparation and ensuring
adequate supplies are available for expected service

Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability
of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes

Maintain excellent presentation standards for all food and
beverage outlets showing innovation, exceeding guest expectations and meeting
brand standards

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Experience in a similar role in a five star or luxury
environment preferred & Trade qualified in Patisserie (desirable)

Attention to detail and high standard of food presentation
with a creative flair

Experience with producing desserts for functions, pastries
and gateaux for buffets, breads and pastries for breakfasts

Ability to handle pressure in a professional manner

Available for shift and weekend work typical of hospitality

Have highly developed interpersonal skills and positive
attitude

Passionate about providing exception product and committed
to undertake growth and development within the Sofitel brand

Further to this experience, to be successful in this role,

you will have unlimited work rights in Australia and will be available to work
varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends as per
our business demands.
