Our Recreation Services team is looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Events Officer. In this exciting role you will effectively and efficiently assist with the planning and delivery of the 2018 Australasian Police & Emergency Games being held in Mandurah in late October 2018. Working with the Coordinator Recreation Services and other City Events staff you will be responsible for facilitating the delivery the City of Mandurah’s key objectives.

Key will deliverables will include;
  • Building and maintaining a strong working relationship with Western Australian Police Sports Federation and other event partners.
  • Facilitating an integrated approach for all internal City of Mandurah Departments involved in the delivery of the event.
  • Positive engagement with businesses and the local community that will provide opportunities for social and economic development as a result of the event being hosted in Mandurah.
To be successful you will have:
  • Previous experience with large scale event delivery in an outdoor public space
  • Strong commitment to customer service and principles of community engagement and event delivery
  • Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and time management skills
  • A qualification in Events Management or be working towards a qualification (desirable)
This position is a contract position developed to support the City of Mandurah's role in the planning and delivery of the key outcomes of the Australasian Police & Emergency Games 2018.
