Toll People has a great opportunity for a fulltime Payroll Officer to join our Group Human Resources National Payroll Team based in Sydney Olympic Park. This opportunity sits within the Permanent Payroll Team that are responsible for all perm employees within Toll Group including White/Blue collar employees. Toll has monthly and weekly pay runs and you will be responsible for end to end processing and related functions. Key Responsibilities

Proactively manage the business processes including timesheets, timesheet calculations, data entry, manual checks (analysis), identifying payroll discrepancies and resolving the issues; working effectively with sound attention to detail

External reporting including confirmation of employment, (eg Centrelink, Child Support, Housing, Australian Bureau of Statistics. Financial institutions)

Process master changes, new employees data (e.g. bank accounts, tax numbers, superannuation details), transfers, rates, deductions and costing

Work as part of a team as well as individually to achieve quality customer service in the successful processing of assigned payrolls in a timely and accurate manner

Ensure compliance with various state and federal legislation and remain current with legislative changes that affect Payroll

Dealing with multiple EBA’s and awards
Skills & Experience
-
Experience in high volume payroll highly desirable

Excellent communications, honesty and attention to detail are essential

Knowledge and experience with Preceda is preferred

Demonstrated problem solving and ability to handle difficult situations

Exposure to EBA and award variations

The ability to be flexible and have great multitasking skills

Exceptional Team Player

Strong knowledge of Excel
