About the Opportunity
The team works collaboratively across the organisation to lead, facilitate, design and implement a suite of reports and products cross cancer control services. This role will manage, implement, monitor and coordinate the expansion of Reporting for Better Cancer Outcomes Program report development arm, as well as design, implement and evaluate projects focusing on improving the process of report production, evidence based clinical and performance indicator development and ensuring these projects meet identified needs and realise maximum benefits for the health system.
The role will work across the organisation and with key external stakeholders including NSW Pillars, Ministry of Health, local health districts and primary health networks to drive the delivery of system improvement program strategies and reduce unwarranted clinical variation.
This role requires a candidate with strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities, as well as experience working with complex health data and translating it into meaningful insights for clinical and system improvement. Experience within the NSW Health system, particularly working with clinicians and performance reporting, will be highly advantageous. Given the breadth of stakeholders and the strategic importance of the Reporting for Better Cancer Outcomes Program, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively across teams, and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timeframes. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are essential to ensure the effective design and delivery of reporting products that support informed decision-making and system-wide improvements.
Essential Requirements

Knowledge of relevant trends, issues, policies and practices across diverse portfolio of projects and an understanding of change management and quality improvement methodologies.

Understanding and experience in the health system and capacity to critically appraise research and interpret clinical and population health data and information.

Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant understanding and experience working within the NSW Health system or other health systems; in particular experience working with clinicians.
Selection Criteria

Relevant tertiary qualifications and /or demonstrated extensive experience managing complex project schedules and operational deliverables within the NSW Health system or a similar large healthcare framework.

Demonstrated experience in managing the end-to-end production of health program reports, with exceptional attention to detail to ensure high-quality, professional outputs.

High-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working collaboratively with senior clinicians, executive staff, and external health partners to keep project timelines on track.

Demonstrated understanding and practical application of project management frameworks, change management principles, and rigorous quality control methodologies within a health service setting.

Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities, execute strategic project briefs, and deliver multiple reporting products under tight time constraints.
