Full Job Description

Dental Receptionist

We are looking for a motivated, "can-do" attitude and caring person with natural customer service skills, great phone manners and attention to detail to join our team in Waterloo and Stanmore. The right person:

Is able to work full-time from Tuesday to Saturday (7 hours shift)
Understands customer service and how reception is the face of the dental practice and often the lasting first impression patients have of us.
Enjoys organising and efficiently preparing for the admin jobs of the day
Communicates clearly and empathetically with patients, especially over the phone, creating positive experiences
Takes pride in being reliable, proactive, and a team player for the clinicians and dental assistants.
Is flexible and can cover shifts in both clinics location (Waterloo and Stanmore)

What We Offer

Entry level salary above the Health Professionals and Support Services Awardpay ($27 to $30per hour, plus 12% superannuation)

Key Responsibilities

Creating an empathetic and welcoming impression for our patients.
Coordinating the appointment books of a busy clinic to maximise clinician utilisation.
Customer facing skills and ability to deal successfully with enquiries, whether face-to-face, online or over the phone.
Handling patient documents and payments.
Liaising with clinicians and dental assistants to ensure smooth running of the clinic.
Being a team player and taking the initiative to complete all tasks needed on the day

Skills and experience

Excellent communication skills are key to the success of this role. As is the ability to build relationships with our team and patients. Additionally, you should have:

High attention to detail.
Computer competent with Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
Friendly personality but professional demeanor
Experience in dental/ medical reception a plus but not required.
